THE PANTON CHAIR •

Design Elements- Lines: Curved, flowing contours, soothing to the eye. - Colors: Lime green, the color is eye-catching, but not severe. - Forms: Has an organic, natural shape to it. - Textures: Smooth feel to it.

Design Principles-

- Balance: Symmetrical from the side, asymmetrical from the front, creates visual interest. - Economy: Extremely simplistic design, no frivolous additions. - Unity: Consistent use of natural-looking design elements (the green color and flowing lines)

THE LAMP •

Design Elements- Lines: Curved, not severe.

- Colors: Red-orange, exciting, adds interest to surroundings. - Values: Placement of plastic pieces creates interesting shadows. - Form: Round look, complements flowing lines. •

Design Principles-

- Rhythm: Lamp has a regular pattern on it that adds an exciting look to it. - Economy: No small, intricate details in design.

STUFFED ANIMAL- ORKY •

Design Elements-

- Lines: Horizontal and curved lines are calming. - Colors: Contrasting black and white creates visual interest. to child. •

- Textures: Fluffy feel to it, comforting

Design Principles-

-Contrast: Black and white colors in subject are eye-catching. - Unity: Calming look to item and fuzzy texture creates overall atmosphere of peace.

MATRYOSHKA DOLL •

Design Elements- Colors: Magenta, pink, white. - Shapes: Geometric, mechanical. - Forms: Curved, smooth look to it. - Textures: Glossy feel to it.

Design Principles- Balance: Symmetrical patterns and forms. - Rhythm: Random rhythm on design, gradated rhythm on figures. - Unity: Dolls are all painted in a similar manner.

COOKIE JAR •

Design Elements-

- Lines: Smooth, unbroken. - Colors: Red and white, creates interesting contrast. - Shapes: Geometric red circle on top adds interest. - Textures: Smooth, clean feel to it. • Design Principles-

- Balance: Item is symmetrical. - Emphasis: Red circle is point of interest. - Contrast: Different colors are contrasting. - Economy: Simple, non-frivolous design.
