Digital Marketing Executive Location: Fouberts Place, London The Role The primary focus of this role is to manage digital websites used to raise awareness and drive footfall to Hamleys stores. The Digital Marketer is responsible for delivering a digital communications plan by working closely with the online trading manager and Marketing Support Manager. The digital marketer will proactively drive new digital marketing initiatives. The digital marketer will deliver global digital campaigns and support franchisees to ensure they represent the brand in a consistent manner.

Key responsibilities:           

Full accountability and management for Hamleys Global Brand social media – developing sites including Instagram, Pintrest, You Tube, Tripadvisor, Google+, Full accountability for managing all digital marketing campaigns including briefing digital assets, writing content and story boards for video production, attending content shoots, Manage email database and newsletter communication by planning newsletters and driving data collection online and in store. Proactively developing new communications for store and online i.e. Birthday notification & wish lists, SMS, Drive sales on Hamleys.com by supporting the online trading manager with effective use of affiliates, managing PPC and inputting into SEO strategy, Maintain Hamleys.com EXPLORE for stores by collating content and coding (HTML), Drive new content opportunities on Hamleys.com to enhance the brand reputation i.e. toy blogs, Support local and global teams in the UK and internationally by maintaining up to date digital guidelines within “Marketing the Hamleys Way”, Proactively collaborating with the Hamleys support center teams to look at ways digital media can work within wider marketing campaigns and department activities, Input into new brand digital technology solutions i.e. Hamleys App, Support Head of Marketing and web in the future development of department KPI’s and statistical analysis, Where applicable assist the wider marketing team with any website development.

Role Requirements:       

Previous experience in a similar digital marketing role, Experience managing PPC, SEO and affiliates, Experience of HTML coding and Photoshop would be an advantage, Digital marketing & social media management, Experience in a retail environment with UK & international business channels, Excellent English language and grammar skills, Desirable Marketing or digital marketing degree.
