Position: Digital & Visual Marketing Intern Dates: Semester Internship (approx 8-16 hours/week for 12 weeks) Background: AmeriCheer, Inc is a national cheerleading and dance event production company located in Westerville, OH. AmeriCheer’s Family of Brands includes: AmeriDance, Eastern Cheer & Dance, STUDIO LIVE!, and VictoryWear. AmeriCheer prides itself in promoting the safety and instructional skills of cheerleading and dance. Job Description: The Digital & Visual Marketing internship is an exciting opportunity to learn in a fun, fast paced, and changing environment. We invite those who have the ability to work well with diverse groups of people to apply. We want the intern to add value to our team, but we also want the intern to be able to learn and grow in this professional environment. This internship is a position that is geared towards students and new grads with a 3-month commitment and the option to work remotely on Otterbein’s camps, if needed. We are willing to work around certain schedules. Although the position is UNPAID, the intern will be compensated for miles driven to various assignment locations. Qualifications: • Excellent writing, editing, copyediting and grammar skills, with a knowledge of AP Style. • Editing photos and videos for social medias, advertising, and listings. • Creating and editing video features such as company overviews, client testimonials, and behind-thescenes/office culture. • Conceptualizing and executing video marketing and promotional materials. • Active on social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest. • Must own a computer with Adobe Suite software or have access to university computer with Adobe Suite software. In addition to the qualifications above, the candidate should be comfortable with interviewing video subjects and well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop). They must have strong vocabulary and writing skills; use creative approaches to graphic design, digital/visual arts, and marketing materials; and have the knowledge and capabilities to translate a concept into reality. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and has strong task and time management skills. The intern should also have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure. We are seeking an intern who has any prior visual arts, graphic design, or marketing experience. The ideal candidate knows strategies on how to visually convey a message while promoting a brand and can equally develop the content to match. Marketing, business, visual arts, graphic design, advertising, communications and consumer behavior related majors are encouraged to apply.
