Ask Pamm Muzslay for the Reader's Digest version of her bio, and she'll tell you that she's "a woman who loves Jesus, her family, and motorcycles." The more detailed report shows that Pamm has been married to the love of her life, Michael, for 38 years, is mom to three fabulous young women, "Jaja" (a Ugandan word for grandmother) to three grandchildren, and "Queen" to one hundred and eighteen language arts and journalism students at Seabrook Intermediate School. In her spare time, Pamm enjoys riding her Suzuki Boulevard, affectionately known as "Sam" (Hebrew for "God has heard my request!") and is also an avid Junker who loves to decorate with trash she's turned into treasure. Her favorite activity, though, is teaching and preaching God's Word, whether in her 9:30 Sunday morning weekly Bible study class or at retreats or special events whenever or wherever she has the opportunity.

A TRANSPARENT LIFE

Page 3

By Dr. Milton Redeker

A “transparent” Christian is one whose life is open, genuine, and authentic. This kind of life belongs to a believer who has nothing to hide and nothing to fear. Transparency is just the opposite of hypocrisy. The word “hypocrite mean “a play actor, one who wears a mask.” Paul used the word conscience twenty one times, so it’s an important subject that we dare not ignore. Conscience is that “inner window” through which God’s light of truth shines to help us know right from wrong. If I do right conscience applauds me; if I do wrong, it accuses me. If I keep violating my conscience, the window becomes dirty and the light becomes dimmer, and my relationship to my conscience deteriorates. Ways to live a transparent life: 1. Emphasize integrity— the good conscience. “Integrity is the opposite of hypocrisy and duplicity...a good conscience must be exercised by obedience.” 2. Emphasize maturity— the weak conscience. “a person with a wek conscience lacks biblical knowledge.” 3. Avoid impurity— the defiled conscience. “to keep your mind and conscience clean, spend time reading and meditating on the Scriptures. Stay clean by staying in God’s Word. 4. Cultivate sensitivity— the evil conscience. “personal morality is so confused in today’s world that some professed Christians boast about their repeated sins and call it ‘liberty.’” 5. Seek recovery— the restored conscience. “we may suffer from the consequences of sin, but our communion with the Lord and His people can be restored.

Primetimer Road Trip! Friday, November 6 - depart UBC 9 a.m. Primetimers will tour the MENIL COLLECTION in Houston's Museum District and see works from such artists as Picasso, Matisse, Pollock, Warhol. Then we will take a look at the Rothko Chapel next door. This nondenominational chapel not only serves as a place of worship, but is a major work of modern art. On the lighter side, we will visit the Art Car Museum to see the amazing collection of cars decorated in crazy, funky art deco. We will enjoy a meal together either before or after our adventures. Details will be given before the event.

To our UBC Family!

Darline and I want to express again what a blessing it was for us to be a part of your Senior Adult Revival. What a special time that was for us! Seeing so many that we have not seen in a very long time was very refreshing. Each of you bring so many memories to us and our time we had together. Your participation in the services was such an encouragement. What a joy it was to work with Dr. Bisagno again. We also want you to know that your support of our ministry through your generous Love Offering was much appreciated. We are always willing to go but having the financial support that makes it possible has to come from those who are obedient and generous in their giving. You demonstrated that in a huge way! We pray God’s richest blessing on you, UBC and your pastor and staff. You always remain in our prayers and we urge you to pray for us daily as we seek to continue to serve Him each day of our lives.

Yours in Christ, George and Darline Archer
