Director, Marketing & Admissions Curtin College, Perth Full-time, Ongoing role Navitas is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, language training, workforce education and student recruitment. Curtin College (based in Perth) is a progressive and dynamic provider of higher education and part of the Navitas group. The College provides Certificate and Diploma courses for a wide range of students, both international and domestic, progressing to a Curtin degree. Curtin College is part of the Navitas Curtin-Campuses group along with Curtin University Sydney and Curtin Singapore. All three colleges/campuses are operated by Navitas through agreements with Curtin University. Navitas is seeking a Director of Marketing & Admissions with responsibility for the strategic direction, management and growth of Curtin College marketing and sales activities. The successful candidate will be pivotal in the development of business relationships and opportunities, and implementing sales and marketing strategies to achieve agreed targets Essential i. Tertiary level qualifications, preferably at postgraduate level, in a marketing or related discipline, together with extensive marketing and sales managerial experience ii.

Highly developed interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills

Capacity to work effectively within a matrix structure, with focus on collaborating with and influencing various stakeholders

iv.

Proven ability to initiate, lead and implement marketing strategies which have significantly contributed to demonstrable growth

Ability to provide leadership and build an effective team

Demonstrated experience in the use of, or knowledge of, technology to underpin marketing strategies

Overview and objectives of the position:

The Director of Marketing and Admissions is responsible to the Curtin College (CC) Campus Director for the strategic direction, management and growth of CC marketing and sales activities. The role will collaborate closely with the Navitas Curtin Campuses (NCC) Director of Marketing & Admissions and support off-shore marketing teams. This includes the development of business relationships and opportunities, and implementing sales and marketing strategies to achieve agreed targets. Management and leadership of the marketing and admissions teams is an integral part of the responsibilities of the position, as is development and management of the CC Marketing budget.

Key result areas: i.

Manage and be responsible for, within approved company policy and in consultation with the NCC Director of Marketing & Admissions, the profitable marketing and sales of CC’s products/services based on market strategies and opportunities, market research, product development and the overall marketing plan

ii.

Maintain and seek to improve CC’s/Navitas’ competitive position through business growth and development.

iii.

Ensure that products are marketed and sold in accordance with budgeted objectives to obtain maximum profitability

iv.

Drive student recruitment activity for the local market

v.

Develop and control tactical level activities such as public relations and advertising, as well as strategies for the launch of new or changed products

vi.

Co-ordinate or commission market research surveys and associated analysis to inform NCC Director of Marketing & Admissions for the strategic direction of marketing activities and products

vii.

In collaboration with the NCC Director of Marketing & Admissions, prepare and manage CC Marketing budget, including the quarterly rolling forecasts

viii.

Evaluate and measure marketing and sales activities against agreed targets

ix.

Appraise existing sales performance and coordinate marketing and sales efforts to achieve maximum liaison and full use of resources at all levels

x.

Ensure that all marketing/sales personnel are trained to perform their jobs effectively and recruit new employees as required

xi.

Develop and manage CC-specific marketing and sales literature and selling aids for marketing employees, including the NCC Marketing & Admissions team

xii.

Oversee the creation of a high-quality CC-specific sales toolkit and provision of CC-specific training to the NCC Marketing & Admissions team

xiii.

Oversee the management of all aspects of admissions for both international and local students

xiv.

Ensure compliance with the regulatory framework in which marketing, sales and admissions operates

xv.

Develop CC-specific events and campaigns and create a travel plan to support activities of NCC Marketing and Admissions and other niche activities.

xvi.

Develop a strong local agent network by managing the identification, selection, management and training of agents in accordance with Navitas Group, Curtin and ESOS requirements

xvii.

Drive stakeholder management with Curtin University and develop CC-specific articulation partnerships in consultation with Curtin University Dean, International Student Admissions and Faculty Dean International
