Hertfordshire International College (HIC) is currently recruiting a Director of Marketing and Admissions, based on campus at University of Hertfordshire who will lead the development and profitable implementation of HIC college marketing and student recruitment strategies in alignment with our University Partner relationship. Key Role Requirements: Essential     

Proven strategic marketing and sales leadership capability Ability to develop commercially viable business plans and recruitment strategies that deliver on top and bottom line growth expectations Effective operational knowledge and understanding of University pathway programs Ability to develop insights and strategies through the use of CRM/marketing technologies such as Salesforce and Marketo Ability to design and articulate value propositions in a clear and compelling way

Desirable    

Knowledge of Home Office/UKVI Tier 4 compliance requirements Proven ability to understand and optimise admissions systems and processes Knowledge and understanding of tertiary university market, including key market drivers, regulatory framework, competitive threats and emerging trends Demonstrated competency in using Excel as a reporting and analytical tool

Role Purpose You will lead the development and profitable implementation of HIC college marketing and student recruitment strategies in alignment with our University Partner relationship. This will involve: 

Being part of the marketing team responsible for international student recruitment, with a particular focus on relationship marketing, market development and student recruitment whilst collaborating closely with the wider college and the partner University (student number planning, marketing, recruitment, compliance and admission teams).



Taking responsibility for target numbers for student intake in line with agreed College strategies and in consultation with the Navitas UPD EU General Manager, Marketing and Recruitment.



Being responsible for the management, mentoring and training of the marketing and admissions team at HIC, in compliance with Tier 4 regulations and the QAA’s Code of Practice.

Key Responsibilities  

Achieve HIC recruitment targets Develop, revise and agree , annual and quarterly, student recruitment targets to achieve overall HIC college revenue and profit goals by: o reviewing spend and data from the current and previous period

articulating the University and college value proposition with an appreciation of market forces and nuances ensuring College recruitment strategy is aligned with UP Divisional goals ensuring College and the University Partner are aligned in terms of the recruitment approach including agent strategy, trips, cross selling etc. maintaining the College culture of providing first class service delivery to all stakeholders



Develop student recruitment forecasts by: o Understanding and accounting for trends and changes in the macro and micro environment o Monitoring the University Partner educational landscape and incorporating into product development o Defining assumptions that underpin student growth target

 

Undertake College and Partner planning for source country visits Maintain positive relationships with destination country regulatory/government bodies and sponsor agencies Maintain positive relationships with sponsor agencies based in destination country Maintain positive relationship with the CoE Co-ordinate College Familiarisation Trips Optimise College specific "source country" agent relationship management Managing a recruitment team towards collective goals and achievement of targets Agreeing entry qualification levels by market with the University Partner Understand and manage the recruitment dimension of the Tier 4 compliance regime
