Peace Lutheran Church is a large, urban congregation in the DFW area of Texas that worships in English, Nuer, and Arabic. Peace has planted many churches locally and overseas, and carries that missional spirit in every aspect of ministry. Applicants need to be:
Worship leader for modern worship band (11:00) and assist in traditional worship (8:30). Spiritually mentor participants in music ministry and model a growing Christian faith. Collaborate with the pastors and other worship staff regarding theme of each worship service, special programs, selection of hymns and choral music. Assist Director of Traditional Worship & Arts with development of all choirs: Adult Choir; Youth Choir and Handbells; Children’s Choir; Adult Handbells; Youth Orchestra Monitoring and expanding the congregation’s music repertoire. Director serves as a servant leader to professional staff and volunteers in the area of worship. Serve as a music resource to groups, programs, and teams such as Vacation Bible School, Red Apple School, Sunday School, weddings, funerals, etc. Oversees staff and volunteers in projection technology for use in worship. Helps plan concerts with community events like Patriotic Salute, Let it Snow, & Oktoberfest. Attend meetings, retreats, educational seminars for professional growth, & functions as required. Oversee all dues, memberships, and music licensing agreements. Assists with weekly assignments and oversight of worship with ushers, greeters, readers, communion volunteers, banners, and other volunteers while encouraging and recruiting for volunteer involvement. Provide regular training and communication for all worship volunteers. Maintain Altar Guild Inventory and maintenance of Worship Resource Room. Manages Pro-Presenter, worship media, and bulletins.
