Director of Worship Ministries Vineyard Christian Fellowship of the Peninsula (VCFP) is a multi-generational community called to Jesus Christ. Our vision is to be a worshipping, healing, equipping, expanding community. We desire to be a vehicle for the transforming love of Jesus to be experienced in the greater Silicon Valley. VCFP is seeking a part-time Director of Worship Ministries to join our staff team. The Director of Worship Ministries will implement our vision and mission by leading all components of worship. This job is well-suited for someone who has strong musical gifts, a deep passion for leading others into the experience of God through worship, a conviction of the role and presence of the Holy Spirit in worship ministry, proven ability to foster vibrant worship-leading teams, and eagerness to work with staff team to lead the church in fulfilling its mission. Title: Director of Worship Ministries Classification and time: Exempt (salaried), 50% time Benefits: Health insurance coverage, paid vacation and sick days, retirement plan Reports to: Lead Pastor Location: Palo Alto, CA Key Job Functions: ●

Oversee all aspects of musical worship in Sunday morning service and special events such as Easter, Christmas Eve, conferences, church-wide events and ministry events as requested by church staff.



Partner with pastoral staff to develop, oversee, and host the whole Sunday morning service experience.



Create musical worship experiences that are accessible to a diverse group of people (multi-generational, multi-ethnic, follower of Jesus, or exploring faith).



Model dynamic and flexible worship leading that discerns the movements of God in the moment and leads people to respond.



Recruit, audition, train, and provide ongoing support for a strong pool of volunteer vocalists and musicians who exhibit giftedness in worship leading and faithfulness to our church vision.



Vision and strategically plan for the future of the worship ministry. Create and monitor worship budget.



Oversee sound ministry, including quality control for all worship equipment and products.



Participate in all-staff activities and responsibilities as designated.

Requirements: ●

Deep passion for worship and leading others into the presence and experience of God through worship.



Basic theological understanding and conviction for the role of the Holy Spirit in worship ministry and a demonstrated ability to lead with that conviction and anointing.



Strong vocalist, ability to play one or more instruments, and able to lead with musical giftedness set.



Appreciation of different worship styles and able to lead others to worship with differing styles.



Ability to speak and lead the congregation during worship as the Holy Spirit moves.



Committed to creating a healthy staff team, including maintaining confidentiality, practicing conflict resolution, and being flexible.



Strong work ethic and able to thrive in a deadline intensive environment.



Three to five years worship leading experience.
