DIGGING DEEPER WITH GOD INTO HIS WORD

Course Description Do you find yourself coming up short, not having the time you desire to really go deep into the Scriptures? Do distractions and interruptions keep you from quality time with God? This class may be just what you need. Come to enjoy 90 minutes every week of personal in-depth time with God. First, you will learn some unique tips on how to go beyond just reading the Word. You will begin to develop the relationship you and God desire. Supplies to bring: Your Bible, a notebook, and pen. Date: Wed. 9/26-11/14 NO CLASS 10/31 Workbook to be purchased at 1st Time: 7:00 - 8:30 pm meeting (included in cost of class).

Instructor - Juli Peterson Juli is married to John Peterson and they have five children. She has attended Camarillo Community Church for seven years, serving on the Women’s Ministry Board, mentor mom at MOPS, Jehovah Jireh Food Pantry, and Awana leader. She loves to cook, bake, read, garden, travel, and play with her grandkids. She asked Jesus to be her Savior when she was eight and rededicated her life at fourteen. Her life verse is Romans 8:28. Psalm 91 includes her favorite verses especially verse 1.

GENESIS TO REVELATION Course Description The Bible is a controversial book to say the least! However, it is a book, and like other books, it tells a story. Today the “church at large” has been sending out mixed messages concerning the “kingdom of God” and the future of His people. Instructors - Mike Broder & Bruce Park Mike has been married to Kathy for 32 years. They have five adult children; Danielle, Martin, Ashley, Erin, and Joseph. Mike is retired and spends his time as a USA certified archery instructor at Conejo Valley Archers, a private archery club in Simi Valley. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and has attended Fuller Theological Seminary. Mike has studied the Scriptures for 39 years with an emphasis on prophecy and the Old Testament and has taught small home Bible studies. Bruce (not pictured) has been studying and teaching the Bible for over 30 years with an emphasis on Prophesy and Old Testament studies. He has traveled to over 17 different countries. His travels include visiting Israel and many of the cities visited by the Apostle Paul. Bruce has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and currently is working for the Navy at the Naval Air Warfare Center at Pt. Mugu.

God’s Design for Building Your Marriage: A Study for Wise Women By Kay Daigle

Course Description Even before the first man and woman sinned, God established marriage. It is not a prison established by culture but a beautiful institution created by God for the best in family and society. So often we seek answers to our marriage problems from the world, instead of from the only One who knows. Join us on an adventure of discovering what God says about His plan for marriage for women, whether you are married, plan to marry some day, and/or have women in your life that you may mentor on this subject. Wed. 9/19-11/14 Copied workbook is included in the cost; Date: NO CLASS 10/31 or a bound book is $12 more. Time: 7:00 - 8:30 pm Instructor - Linda Granberry Linda has been married to Terry for 23 years and they have one daughter, Sarah. Linda teaches the Bible to children Sunday mornings, has taught at Awana, and has recently taught two women’s classes at the Discipleship Institute. She graduated in June from Channel Islands Bible College & Seminary with her Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry. Linda received her Counseling Certification from the same institution in 2010. She serves on the Discipleship Institute Team and is Part-Time Staff as Elaine Francisco’s assistant in Children’s Ministry. Linda’s desire is to be obedient to God by serving in the church with her gift of teaching, discipling women and children to grow in their relationship with Him.

SACRED MARRIAGE Course Description This six-session DVD curriculum will equip you to love God more passionately, reflect the nature of his Son more precisely, and fulfill God's overarching purpose for your marriage. Your marriage is much more than a union between you and your spouse. It is a spiritual discipline ideally suited to help you know God more fully and intimately. Sacred Marriage shifts the focus from marital enrichment to spiritual enrichment in ways that can help you love your mate more. Jim and Gayle have been married for 32 years, have four adult children, one grandson, and one granddaughter. Jim is the Pastor of Discipleship and Family Ministries at CCC. Gayle serves in the Women’s Ministry and creates beautiful quilts. Together they have led numerous small groups, mentored young married couples, and are just now realizing the payoff for not killing their kids when they were teenagers. Jim also conducts premarital counseling.

Focus on the Family’s THE TRUTH PROJECT - Part I

Course Description The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 13 weeks of video lessons, presented in 7 weeks this quarter (Fall 2012) and 6 weeks in the Winter 2012 quarter. It is taught by Dr. Del Tackett, instructor of Christian Worldview at the Focus Leadership Institute. This study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. VictorSubala has participated in small group Bible studies for several years enhancing his daily personal Bible study. As a student of Christian worldview and stewardship, he encourages others to engage our own culture as well as the global culture with God’s Word. Victor enjoys helping out with the Jehovah Jireh pantry, the Rescue Mission, and The Kingdom Center. He enjoys praying with the prayer team and learns and laughs with the Agape Bible study group on Sunday mornings. Victor is currently serving in the U.S. Army Reserves. JohnHiedelman, wife Dee Dee, and family, 12 year residents of Camarillo, have attended CCC for two years excitedly learning about God's Word. As a consultant, John conducts business development for a large Fortune 500 corporation. With a Christian upbringing and private Catholic school education, he also studied Judaism part-time for two years at the University of Judaism. John believes The Truth Project will inspire anyone who attends.
