DISCOVER WORSHIP

DISCOVER WORSHIP

Parent Briefing: In this mission, we will look at several Bible verses that you and your “agents in training” can investigate. After this indepth investigation, there are several activities that are suited for your agents. This is a time for you to be intentional in teaching biblical truth in order to strengthen your family and your relationship with the Creator! Mission Objective: We encourage you and your family to discover ways to worship God by either singing along to your favorite Christian song, teaching your children a hymn, painting a picture of God's beauty, writing a story/poem about God, or creating praise song playlists and listening to them wherever you are. As you praise God, remember all the things that He has done for you. Thank him for all your blessings. Remember that worshiping God doesn’t mean you have to sing. You can be thinking about him throughout the day as an act of worship. See how this influences your daily activities and how it furthers your relationship with God. Below are some guided questions to help further your discussion on your mission field, use the investigation material above to answer. How does God know we love Him? See Psalms 100:1, What does it mean to make a joyful noise? How can you incorporate praise in your daily activities? See Romans 12:1, What does it mean to present your bodies as a living sacrifice? How can you use your talents to praise God? Agent Debriefing After discovering worship, we encourage you and your “agents in training” to take a picture of the assignment you completed. Post the picture using #CreekCIA. This will allow for the agency to evaluate the picture and give your agents a chance to win a special outing. Be looking for your picture to appear on the Agency’s screen during Sunday morning service.

Youth: While worshiping, ask yourself: Why am I here? Why am I doing what I’m doing? What does my worship say about how I feel about God? See Acts 17:23, How can we avoid worshipping in ignorance? Throughout the week, worship God with your thoughts. Play the following playlist, or your own, to keep your thoughts Christ-centered. Post your favorite worship song, or lyrics to it, on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook.
