Benefits of Work - Bob Merritt\

Introduction Most of us spend a third of our lives working. A recent Gallup poll found that more than 80 percent of people are dissatisfied with their jobs. But God says work is a gift, a blessing, and a good thing. Pastor Bob shared four benefits of work: money, skill development, opportunities and purpose. Even better, work allows others to see the work of Christ in you. Remember that and you’ll have a happier Monday!

Discussion Questions 1.

Pastor Bob talked about his first job as the helper to a paper boy. What is the first job you had?

2. One benefit of work is money. God gave you life, intelligence, and the strength to earn money. How do you honor God with your money? 3. You can find and develop your skills by working. List some of the skills you have learned from your previous and current jobs. 4. Read Proverbs 12:11. What does the author Solomon say about work? 5. The main purpose of your work is to show that Christ is at work in you. Has anyone ever asked you, “What do you have that I don’t?” Take some time to share how you responded or would respond.
