NAVIGATING THE STRESS OF WORK John Alexander

Introduction We all face challenges at work, and our jobs can sometimes feel unfulfilling. But God created work because he loves us, values us, and wants the best for us. In this weekend’s message, John Alexander shares four ways to navigate the stress of work so we can find beauty in the work God created us for. Seeing our work the way God sees it helps us feel the satisfaction of a job well done.

Discussion Questions 1. On a scale of 1-10, how much do you love the work you do on a daily basis? Are your struggles task-based, people-based, or satisfaction-level related? 2. What are some challenges you face in your work? How can you change your perspective and turn those challenges into opportunities to love others as Christ did? 3. Like Esther was challenged by Mordecai, could there be a reason that God has placed you where you are? Perhaps He wants you to do a good work. What might that good work be? 4. Are you currently working your dream job? Whether you’re unemployed, manage a household, or work in an office, how can that propel you toward your ideal job?
