Luke  1:11-­‐13   “Then  an  angel  of  the  Lord  appeared,  standing  at  the   right  side  of  the  altar  of  incense.    When  Zechariah  saw   him,  he  was  startled  and  gripped  with  fear.    But  the   angel  said  to  him:  “DO  NOT  BE  AFRAID,  Zechariah;   your  prayer  has  been  heard.    Your  wife  Elizabeth  will   bear  you  a  son,  and  you  are  to  call  him  John.”

Fear  of  Failure   Jesus  said,  “Take  courage!     It  is  I.  Don’t  be  afraid!”  

Peter  said,  “Lord,  if  it  is  you,  tell  me  to  come  to  you   on  the  water.”  “Come!”  Jesus  said.     MaDhew  14:27-­‐29          

Luke  1:28-­‐30   “The  angel  went  to  Mary  and  said,  “GreeNngs,  you   who  are  highly  favored!    The  Lord  is  with  you."   Mary,  was  greatly  troubled  at  his  words  and   wondered  what  kind  of  greeNng  this  might  be.   But  the  angel  said  to  her,  “DO  NOT  BE  AFRAID,  Mary,   you  have  found  favor  with  God!”

Fear  of  RejecBon   The  angel  said,  “Mary,   Don’t  be  Afraid,  for  you     have  found  favor  with  God—in  other  words,  God   really,  really  LOVES  YOU!”  Luke  1:30      

 

MaRhew  1:20   An  angel  of  the  Lord  appeared  to  Joseph  in  a  dream   and  said,  “Joseph  son  of  David,  DO  NOT  BE  AFRAID  to   take  Mary  home  as  your  wife,  because  what  is   conceived  in  her  is  from  the  Holy  Spirit.”

Fear  of  the  Unknown   So  do  not  worry,  saying,  ‘What  shall  we  eat?’  or  ‘What     shall  we  drink?’  or  ‘What  shall  we  wear?’….  But  seek   first  God’s  kingdom  and  His  righteousness,  and  all   these  things  will  be  given  to  you  as  well.     MaDhew  6:31&33
