Does Anyone Really Care?

DOES ANYONE REALLY CARE? Psalm 142:4 Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8 It has been nearly two thousand years since Christ gave the command to the church to witness to every person and beginning at home, go into all the world and preach the gospel. However, neither the world, and neither our friends, family or neighbors have heard our witness. GOD CARES John 3:16; Romans 5:8 The entire bible is a testament to how much God cares for lost mankind. Even though there was nothing lovely or desirable and deserving in us God cared enough to sacrifice His lovely, perfect Son on the cross of Calvary in order for the price of our sin to be paid in full. Luke 19:10; I Timothy 1:15 The Lord Jesus knew from the beginning what would be required of His time on earth. Regardless of the shame, the disgrace, the lies and heartache, and the physical torture during His mock trial and crucifixion, Jesus total purpose in coming to earth was to save us from hell. II Peter 3:9, 12 When we were saved the Lord did not leave us here to make a better world for people to die and go to hell from. It is plain in the scriptures that God wants every person to be saved. John 16:8-9 The Holy Spirit cares for every soul on earth and is committed to fulfill His task of convicting the world of their sin and helping lost people to the Savior. HEAVEN CARES Luke 15:10 Every time a person on earth receives the miracle of the New Birth the bible tells us that believers in heaven are rejoicing in the presence of the angels. I believe that all of our family that has gone before us to heaven are the first to know that we are saved and on our way to be with them. HELL CARES Luke 16:22-26 The rich man who went to hell was shocked when he woke up in hell and was in torment. He cared for his soul then but he was told that it was too late and he had no second chance. Luke 16:27-31 Once the rich man knew he could not help himself out of hell he became a 'wannabe' soul winner because he was afraid that his brothers would end up in hell with him. II Corinthians 4:3-4 Satan cares about souls. The devil's major objective is to prevent as many people from going to heaven as possible. So far he is doing a great job. We might ask ourselves this: Is Satan using you and me to “hide the glorious gospel of Christ” from our family and friends? WHY WE DON'T CARE Ezekiel 33:6; Proverbs 19:2 Most believers have heard the gospel thousands of times, yet many still struggle to be able to tell the truths of the gospel in a simple, coherent and intelligent way to others. We all should be able to “give a reason for the hope that is in you” -(I Pt. 3:15). The why, the who and the how we must be saved. A lack of knowledge by believers is sending our friends and family to hell! Proverbs 1:20-23; Luke 10:30-32 We don't care about people's souls because we are apathetic and selfish about our time and money. We are more interested in “free time” and our four and no more. Hebrews 11:6; James 1:6 We don't witness or talk about Jesus because of our lack of faith creates a false fear. We fear what our friends and family might think about us if we act “spiritual” toward them. Matthew 9:36-37 The reason some of us don't care about souls is because we lack the compassion for the lost. We rarely consider that our friends and family will suffer torments in hell without Christ.
