Ministry Position Description Position Title: Video Editor Reporting Relationship: Worship Pastor Exempt Status: Part-time, Non-exempt Job Overview This position will edit video content for both Church wide events as well as individual ministries. This person will work closely with our Story Producer/Writer as well as our Worship Pastor. Stories of Grace are a large part of this role and are how we creatively tell stories of God’s work in people’s lives. Responsibilities and Duties • • • • • • •

Develop new ideas, storyboard and build treatments Collaborate with creative team Plan technical details required to execute project. Edit, upload and post weekend sermons to the website. Manage video post-production budget Stay current with trends and styles; actively look for ways to grow and improve skills. Managing and organizing a video database

Skills/Requirements • Experience editing a variety of projects (Premiere Pro CC or FCPX a plus) • Understanding of mastering audio • Bachelor’s Degree preferred • 5 years editing experience, with some shooting experience • Understanding of color correction and grading video • Able to accurately estimate timelines and meet deadlines • Organized and able to operate efficiently within a post-production workflow • Must submit an online demo reel of your best work • 5 years editing experience, with some shooting experience • Thrives in a fast-paced environment • Enthusiastic, team player and flexible • Possesses a vibrant growing personal committed relationship with Christ. • Embrace the mission and vision of Door Creek Church This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
