e are so thankful that you have chosen to worship with us today. If you are visiting let me welcome you and ask that you please fill out a Connection card found in the pew and return it to an usher at some point today. It is

hard for me to believe that this week we will celebrate Thanksgiving. In our busy lives it is important that we stop and recognize the Lord and His blessings in our life. I want to begin by recognizing the blessing of this church family. I cannot express the joy it is to serve as your Pastor. You are the absolute best and it is a privilege to come to work and serve you each day. Thank you for your faithful service and giving hearts. Just last week you freely gave $3,750 to Mission Voice Network and over 450 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Let’s not forget you also gave over 2,200 cans of corn for the Feeding of the 5,000 and Chimes for Charity. I am so thankful to raise my family here as well. As a parent of young children, there is no greater place to be than Second Baptist Church. Our leaders and volunteers are second to none. It thrills my heart as my children come home every week excited to share what they learned, sing songs to the Lord and raise money to support missions. If you are looking for a church to call home, then you are in the right place. While we are all imperfect, we gather today in weakness to serve a perfect savior. Beyond the blessings of family and church stands what I am most thankful for this year, Jesus Christ. I hope that you will take time this week in celebrating His mercy and grace as you reflect on all the ways He has blessed your life. Don’t forget that tonight is the Community Thanksgiving service sponsored by the Obion County Ministerial Association. Service will begin at 6:00 PM and is being held at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Nursery will be available for children under the age of 6. In closing, take note that we will begin our Christmas series, “Home For Christmas”, on November 26. Also, you will not want to miss this year’s Christmas musical, “All Is Well”, on December 10 and 11. God bless you and may you experience the love of our Savior as you worship here today. For His Glory, Pastor Justin
