UK- ARGENTINA:

Surrender Announced

Argentine forces on both East and West Falkland surrendered last nig ht at 2 000 EDT, according to British Prime Minister Thatcher ' S office. The commander of British ground forces on the islands reported that arrangements were in hand to assemble the Argentine troops for return to Argentina. Although Argentine President Galtieri report edly met late into the night with military

colleagues and advisers , the re has been no announcement thus f ar from Buenos Aires.
