175th Anniversary Kick-Off Worship Service: January 21, 10:30 am Luncheon: $5/person, $20 max/family The Celebration will begin with a unified service at 10:30 am. There will be no Sunday School or First Community. Afterwards, we will head to Trentham Hall for a church-wide luncheon. Wednesday Night Activities Resume TODAY All Wednesday activities will resume on January 10. This includes, children and youth activities, Bridge, Bible study, dinner, Women on Mission on Wednesday Night, and a brand new cycle of Life & Faith Classes. NEW WEDNESDAY NIGHT SCHEDULE

LIFE AND FAITH August 30-October 4 Understanding Paul’s World: This study will cast insights on the social, political and religious contexts that shaped the Epistles of Paul. This will be led by Tom Ogburn and Bob Browder Worship 101: A study on the foundations of worship. This will be one of our four foundations classes that will help us live into the fourfold mission of the church. This will be led by Richard Buerkle. An Honest Conversation of End of Life Issues: The simple truth is many people do not want to talk about death. It makes them uncomfortable. But, there are a wide range of issues we need to talk about to help prepare ourselves and our families for when we face end-of-life issues. This will be led by Pam Neal with guests.

Women on Mission in 2018 October 18-November 29 Women on Mission will look slightly different this year. The monthly Tuesday morning installment will remain the same. While there will be no meeting in January, they will resume meeting on February 6 at 10:30 am in 302. We will also be offering a night installment called Women on Mission on Wednesday Night (WOM OWN). They will meet on the first Wednesday night of each month beginning TODAY (then February 7, March 7, etc) at 6 pm in 304. To be added to the email list, contact Janice McCoy at [email protected].

Digging In – A Study of 1 Timothy: A chapter-by-chapter study of Paul’s first letter to Timothy. Led by Bob Browder Mission 101: A study of the Biblical foundations of mission and current mission strategies that guide our church’s mission endeavors. This will be the second of our four foundations classes that will help us live into the four-fold mission of the church. This will be led by Arthur Clayton and include other guest speakers. Being Baptist: This study will look at our historic Baptist distinctives and how these distinctives shape who we are and how we do church as a Baptist congregation. This will be led by Tom Ogburn with guests.

Senior Adult Bingo February 1, 12:30 pm, Trentham Hall | Lunch Offered Join us for a time of fellowship and fun through Bingo! Come, enjoy, laugh, and win prizes! Lunch will be offered at 11:30 am for $6. Mission Collective Knoxville February 17, 9 am - 4 pm, Tickets $10 (includes lunch), At First Baptist: Room #s TBA First Baptist will be hosting Mission Collective Knoxville, a CBF event geared toward mobilizing mission initiatives and practicing gospel hospitality.
