❶ Matthew 3:13-14 13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?" Ephesians 1:13-14 What does it mean to be secure in Christ (God)? Do you feel secure in Christ? Do you act like you are secure in Christ?

❷ Luke 3:15-16 15 The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John might possibly be the Christ. 16 John answered them all, "I baptize you with water. But one more powerful than I will come, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Terry said that John wasn’t just humble in pointing to Jesus, but John lived as humble because he was subjected to Jesus (as seen in tying his sandals). Ephesians 1:18-23 1 Corinthians 15:27-28 Hebrews 2:6-9 What does it mean to be subjected to Jesus? What does it mean to be a subject of Jesus? How does this affect your thinking about the Kingdom of God? What changes should be reflected in your living in the Kingdom of God?
