The Story Line of the Bible: Revelation

The Story Line of the Bible: The History of Redemption Job

The Story Line of the Bible: The History of Redemption The New Testament

Wayne Shaw Sanctuary

The book of Revelation is remarkable, mysterious, and glorifying, and has probably created more discussion and controversy among theologians than any other book of the Bible. We will start with an introduction to the book and a brief overview of the letters to the seven churches. The major symbols and events, and the counterfeit trinity will also be explored. The four primary approaches to interpreting Revelation will follow: preterist, historicist, futurist, and idealist. We will conclude with a look at the ways in which Revelation should impact our lives.

Greg Fisher Sanctuary

Our guided tour through God’s unfolding redemptive work in the Old Testament continues. Job is one of the oldest books in the Bible, and has been a source of encouragement for the people of God for millennia. Join us for an exploration of this important book of inspired Hebrew wisdom.

Sanctuary

The exploration of God’s redemptive work moves into the New Testament. Join us as we explore the major themes, events, and people that are brought to life in the Bible. Using R. C. Sproul’s DVD series, Dust to Glory, this class will provide a panorama of biblical truth and a starting point to help us understand the content of the Bible, and provide new insights to read, understand, and apply Scripture to life.

Only Two Religions How to Die Well

Jim Rich Room 107

The Bible teaches us not only how to live, but also how to die. We all encounter death in the fallen world and we naturally fear it because death is unnatural. We were not created to die. In this class we will examine the nature of death, why death is our final enemy, and the hope that a Christian has when it is time to face the end of his earthly existence. Because of Christ, we can face death with confidence and live as those who have been liberated.

A survey of modern culture’s religious landscape reveals an astonishingly diverse range of views. But beneath the surface, these seemingly disparate spiritualities share a common worldview, one that is radically opposed to the Christian faith. In this teaching series Dr. Peter Jones, Christian worldview scholar, examines the worldview and fundamental religious convictions that drive modern culture. He shows that in the end, there can be only two religions-worship of the Creator or worship of creation.
