Membership Programs Chamber Gift Card Program

The Claremont Gift Card program is a FREE program available for ACTIVE Chamber members. This program has been successful since 2002 and currently has 140 Chamber members utilizing this as one of the many benefits to their membership. The intention of this program is to encourage more business for our Chamber members and to keep the money in Claremont. Throughout the year, many residents and visitors to the city purchase the Claremont Chamber cards, for family, friends, coaches, teachers, etc. Each card distributed from our office includes a list of merchants participating in this wonderful program, giving each recipient a huge array of choices as to where they can spend their gift. All participating members are given a window cling to show they accept the gift cards. Claremont Gift Cards are sold exclusively at the Chamber Office in denominations of $10 and $25. When a customer uses the gift card, the merchant must treat it as cash and must give cash as change, if necessary. Then the merchants brings the card(s) into the Chamber office, where we will write a check for the full amount. To participate in this program, simply circle “YES” for Chamber Gift Card Program on your membership application.

Claremont Chamber Young Professionals (CYP)

The Claremont Chamber Young Professionals (CYP) is a group of business professionals from the ages of 21-40 years old. CYP exists to strengthen the vitality of Claremont and surrounding areas by providing a network of professional development, social opportunity, economic development, and community service programs. CYP meetings alternate between a Lunch and Learn and a Networking Mixer held on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Lunch and Learns are FREE and open to all Chamber Members. They feature a variety of speakers that present topics which benefit members both in their personal and professional lives. The Networking mixers are held in the evening from 5:30-7pm at different venues. These Mixers provide a casual environment for CYP’S to mix and mingle while building stronger business connections. Another asset of the CYP’s is the volunteer committee. The Chair of the volunteer committee finds different Chamber member events for the CYP’s to participate in as a group. Volunteering is a great way to help the CYP’s be more visible in the community while supporting fellow Chamber members. The CYP’s host an Annual Bowling tournament Fundraiser in the summer to benefit a nonprofit organization. In 2014, the tournament raised $1000 for the Claremont Community School of Music. This event is a great way to give back to the community while giving business people the opportunity to get out of the office and have fun. For more information on how to get involved with the CYP’s contact Veronica at [email protected]

Member Testimonials We all achieve more when we work together, and we’ve found the Claremont Chamber to be proof of this adage. Participation in the Chamber’s Discover Claremont Card partnership, for example, was something that benefited Hotel Casa 425, as well as other businesses that took part in the promotion. Through the Chamber, we’ve forged complementary working relationships with other like-minded, local organizations; our popular Vino & Vinyasa afternoons grew from an idea to bring flow yoga classes to the hotel with the help of Claremont Yoga. We’re looking ahead to similar successes with fellow Chamber members. -Tara Naughtin Manager, Hotel Casa 425

We are a full service real estate brokerage located in the Old School House and have been proud members of the Claremont Chamber of Commerce since 1999. With so many challenges and changes taking place in the California business climate, it's reassuring to know the support of the knowledgeable folks at the chamber is always just a phone call away. Thank you, staff & volunteers, for making the Claremont Chamber of Commerce such a valuable resource. -Tom & Nicole Troli, Mile One Real Estate

The Claremont Chamber rocks! For us, it is all about connecting people with the right jewelry to mark their celebration or treat themselves. The Claremont Chamber is great at creating fun events which build connection, charity and business in our community. Any organization is as good as its people and Claremont is fortunate to have a vibrant, driven and innovative Chamber of Commerce run by amazing people. The Chamber is particularly great at providing support and a unified voice to the many family, independent businesses that make Claremont a strong and unique place to shop and work. We’re proud to have been a member of the Claremont Chamber of Commerce for 19 years and we look forward to the next 19 years and beyond. -Ray Lantz, The Diamond Center Ever since we joined the Claremont Chamber, we have felt a part of this community. The Chamber has allowed us to meet and network with people and other small business owners in the area. They do a great job bringing people together and coordinate exciting events like Village Venture and Restaurant Week, that bring in consumers from surrounding cities. As Realtors, we need keep up to date with growth related to the city. The Chamber helps keeps us educated and is valuable asset to our business. We truly believe that it is because of the chamber that Claremont has become a destination city! -Carlos and Pat Samuelson Century 21 Prestige Properties
