On August 11, the College and Family Ministries are going to team up to discuss how to parent, love, and support students in their college years. It will be a good time to connect with other parents and to learn together how best to guide our students. For more information, contact Pastor Cole Lescher (clescher@centralpres. com or 314-727-2777). We are currently looking for volunteers with experience running sound to help with our tech ministry. Meet Me in St. Louis On Tuesday, August 20, at 11:45am, Women in Ministry is hosting their annual summer luncheon. The luncheon is a wonderful opportunity to gather together in fellowship as we enjoy a lovely program and delicious lunch. This year, the theme of the luncheon is closely linked with our church-wide celebration of 175 years of God's faithfulness. Women in Ministry is one of the oldest--if not the oldest-groups here at Central, dating back to the early days of our church in the 1800s. It was in 1917 that Women in Ministry began forming circles--groups of women that meet together for Bible studies and discussion. Since then, Women in Ministry has focused on missional work, supporting local and international missionaries through fundraisers or special events. Our luncheon this year will have a special focus to look back at the history of our city and our church, and we are very excited to welcome Bill Wichman as our guest speaker. With the theme of "Meet Me in St. Louis," there will be a special emphasis on the early 20th century in the city--particularly the 1904 World's Fair!

The luncheon is open to all Central women and their guests. We invite all women in the church to come and join us, even if you have never attended Women in Ministry meetings before! We will have a wonderful time together as we learn more about how God has been faithful to us and our city. The cost to attend is $15 per person, and checks can be made payable to CPC with the memo "Women's luncheon." Please either mail your check to Central or bring it in person to Carol Mulick at the front desk. To continue in the tradition of Women in Ministry dating back to 1917, all proceeds from the luncheon will be given to local urban missions. Reservations are encouraged, as seating is limited. There will be opportunities to make your reservation on Sunday mornings. For more information on Women in Ministry, or if you have questions about making your reservation, contact Jeanne Kuhlman (jbkuhlman@ me.com). Please note that there will not be any neighborhood parking available. Please use the Central garage off Hanley.

Pray for Our Students

Youth Membership

Please be praying for our students as they serve the Lord down in Honduras. This crew of staff, volunteers, and students are currently serving with Michael Miller and The Micah Project. The group left this past Thursday, and will return this Tuesday, August 6. Please be praying for safe travels, team bonding, and much joy in this Kingdombuilding effort. Here is the team so you can pray for them by name:

If you are a rising 6th12th grader, we invite you to attend the youth membership class on Saturday, August 24, from 10am-4pm. Lunch will be provided.

Chase Bouchein, Zoe Brandenstein, Nicolaus Braun, Noah Braun, Lucy Christian, Ruth Crane, Noah Hall, Daniel Johnson, Lilian Maynor, Jake Ravenhill, Theo Stephens, Anna Upshaw, Mira Upshaw, Annie Wood, Matt Woodson, Ari Dayoub, Jared Bullock, and Catherine Stufflebam. The Micah Project is located in Tegucigalpa, Honduras with three group homes for young men and boys. The young men, who spent their childhoods on the streets or in impoverished homes, are now learning to become Christian leaders through discipleship, formal and informal education. Please keep our students and leaders in your prayers this week as they love and serve.
