23.1 Parts List a. Len Gordon AS-5TD controller Float-level cord (pre-wired) Contactor Air Switch Circuit Board

23.2 Description The AS-5TD controller is responsible for dedicating power to the 5HP hydraulic motor that runs the swim current when you activate the air button poolside. It has been manufactured with a float-level cord that attaches to the 5HP motor. See Tech Bulletin #22 for additional information on this feature.

23.3 Additional Considerations

The AS-5TD-30 should be installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with national, state, and local electrical codes. Please refer to the attached wiring diagram. As a safety feature, the AS-5TD-30 is equipped with a 30 minute timer. After 30 minutes of operation, the unit will turn itself off. Simply press the air button and the unit will operate for another 30 minutes.

23.4A Wiring (for US and other countries with the same electrical requirements)

Single phase 220 volt 30 amp GFCI protected power should be brought to the two terminals on the left of the black contactor (Line 1 and Line 2). NOTE: The Line 1 wire will be connected directly to the input wire for the 30A in-line fuse and the Line 2 wire will be connected to Terminal 2 of the contactor. Power should then be brought out of the two terminals on the right (Load 1 and Load 2), proceeding to the 5 HP electric motor on the hydraulic power unit. No neutral wire is required. The 5HP hydraulic pump will not operate when wired with a neutral.
