We all have chasms in our lives, relationally and spiritually. But God’s power shows up best in chasms. In fact, that’s what Easter is all about. When Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead, He bridged the gap between us and God, and between us and each other. He rose from the grave to heal us, forgive us, and restore our relationship with Him and others.

Discussion Questions 1. When have you been in a situation where you knew you needed to forgive someone, but you felt they didn’t deserve your forgiveness? How did you respond? 2. What chasms exist in your life right now—relational, spiritual, or otherwise? How did that chasm develop? 3. What will it take to build a bridge over that chasm? Think about who you need to forgive or ask forgiveness of, what habits need to change, or what boundaries need to be formed. Who can you turn to for help in that rebuilding process? 4. What in your life would change as a result of building that bridge?

Challenge There are some chasms in life that we can’t cross ourselves—some bridges we can’t rebuild. This week, ask God to bridge the gap—between you and Him, and between you and anyone else. Surrender that relationship to Him, ask for wisdom in how to move forward, and take a step toward restoring that relationship.
