WHEN I’M TIRED

Our soul is the most important part of who we are. It’s the eternal part of us that experiences love, joy, and peace. It’s also the part that experiences loneliness, fear, and desperation. Our souls are crying out for peace and wholeness, but because of sin we often misidentify what our soul needs and try to fill it with lesser things.

Discussion Questions 1. What part of the message stood out to you the most? Why? 2. How do you try to fill your soul when you’re weary? When you’re simply exhausted, how to you attempt to manage it? 3. The key to finding rest for our souls is when we finally surrender our will to Christ. What fears do you have about fully surrendering your will to Him? 4. What are 1-2 ways you can begin to apply what you learned in the message this week?

Challenge This week, resist the temptation to check your phone, read your email, or turn on the news when you wake up. Instead, spend 15-20 minutes each morning with God. Surrender your will to Him. This simple routine will help restore your soul and invite God into the rest of your day.

Commit to Memory Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29
