Ministry Position Description

Position Title: Cinematographer Reporting Relationship: Worship Pastor Exempt Status: Part-time, Non-exempt Job Overview This position will shoot and light all video content for both Church wide events as well as individual ministries. This person will work closely with our Story Producer/Writer as well as our Worship Arts Pastor. Stories of Grace are a large part of this role and are how we creatively tell stories of God’s work in people’s lives. Responsibilities and Duties  Setup and breakdown set and equipment before and following each production  Plan technical details required to execute project  Collaborate with creative team  Manage and maintain video equipment  Manage video production budget  Stay current with trends and styles; actively look for ways to grow and improve skills  Organize the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment Skills/Requirements  Video Production Experience  Great eye for composition and ability to produce high-quality images under all sorts of lighting conditions, both interior and exterior  Camera, lighting and on set audio experience  Proper set etiquette  Experience shooting on Canon Cinema cameras a plus  Must submit an online demo reel of your best work  Able to accurately estimate timelines and meet deadlines  Thrives in a fast-paced environment  Enthusiastic, team player and flexible  Possesses a vibrant growing personal committed relationship with Christ.  Embrace the mission and vision of Door Creek Church  Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for up to four hours  Bachelor’s Degree preferred This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
