1 Corinthians 15:17 “…if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless...” 1 Corinthians 15:5 ““He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve.” (NLT) 1 Corinthians 15:6-7 “After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. Then he was seen by James and later by all the apostles.” (NLT)

Easter This weekend we celebrate the most celebrated and debated event in the history of mankind. Jesus, rising up from the grave on the first Easter Sunday, started the debate that continues to this day. 2000 years ago the spread of Christianity could have been stopped dead in its tracks by doing one simple thing; simply showing the masses the dead body of Jesus. The Pharisees and the Romans would have ended the Jesus story on the spot. One body, no Christianity; let’s take a look at the first Easter. Icebreaker What is your favorite all time Easter candy? Consider Further Read Acts 9:1-19 1. How would you feel if you were Saul/Paul during the three days that he sat in his room in Damascus – blind – trying to figure out what happened to him? 2. If you were Ananias, how would you have reacted when God told you to go and lay hands on Saul? 3. What was the most significant thing that happened to Saul after Ananias prayed for him? 4. If you could compare your spiritual journey to Paul’s experience where are you right now? On the road to Damascus/starting to hear God call out my name and wondering what God is trying to tell me/experiencing some of the same emotions Paul went through/trying to sort out what has been happening. 5.
