Reporting Manager: Store Manager/ Assistant Manager/ Supervisor

Job Purpose Summary Manage Hamleys store experience team with responsibility for delivering bookable events and the Hamleys ‘experience’ through demonstration and in store theatre on a daily basis.

What you will be required to do as a Hamleys Experience Expert:                      

To manage, motivate and develop the experience team to deliver the ‘Hamleys experience’ and achieve sales targets for in store demonstration and bookable events Ultimate responsibility for the successful coordination and delivery of all customer parties, bookable events ensuring a full working process with outstanding internal and external customer communication. Assist the Store Manager to deploy staff maximising productivity across demonstration, parties and core events To lead by example on the shop floor by being engaging and professional portraying a positive attitude to internal and external customers To project the company image in personal appearance and teams correct use of uniforms To demonstrate effective communication skills at weekly store meetings and through one to ones with the team To adapt to the ever-changing needs of the business with a positive attitude To gain product knowledge expertise within all demonstration product groups in the store and ensuring the experience team has this knowledge To ensure delivery of the Hamleys experience by following VM guidelines and housekeeping standards for parties and demonstration products To implement sales promotions and price changes as directed by Management To ensure the team give a professional, informed description and show an in-depth knowledge of their product, using live demonstration Assist with recruitment and selection of the best people for the experience team Assist the Management team to ensure all staff receive an effective induction into the business To assist the Management team in implementing training plans and providing on the job coaching to develop the skills of the team To efficiently adhere to all Company procedures and policies, effectively deputing for the Management team in their absence To provide a safe environment, following Health & Safety guidelines/ risk assessments for products, and to be aware of the security of the floor Take responsibility for the local relationships regarding the delivery of bookable events. Actively encourage communication and drive engagement between the Support Centre and Store environment Manage The Events Cost Control Sheet Manage bookable Events Purchase Orders Organise/attend central marketing meetings as requested Update the online platforms as required within the framework of the social strategy
