Objectives What does scripture say about itself, how did the 66 books come to be, and what’s the deal with all these translations? What is inductive Bible study and how do I do it?
Due Before Class Nothing!
To understand the basic principles of observation; to recognize key words, phrases, and ideas To learn how to read a passage in context and determine what it meant for the original audience
Write out 1 Peter 2:1-10 by hand and read several times Write out at least 30 observations from the text (There is a prize for whoever has the most!) Fill out Interpretation Worksheet
To discover how to bridge the gap between the original audience and yourself and apply the principles of the text to your own life To seek out how the text furthers your understanding of the Gospel
