The first three gospels are called the synoptic gospels. Important truths about Jesus: Truth #1: Jesus is eternal (v. 1,2) The Greek term that is translated “the Word” is the word logos. Who is the logos (the Word)? Jesus Christ Truth #2: Jesus is the second person of the Trinity. (v.1b) Truth #3: Jesus is God. (v. 1c) Truth #4: Jesus is the Creator of all things. (v.3) Truth #5: Jesus is the source of true light in the dark world. (v. 4,5)
