Strategic Changes Over the past year, the church has conducted an attendance analysis that reached back ten years. We conducted a financial analysis that also reached back ten years. Then we conducted an extensive demographic study of our community. We followed that up with a church-wide spiritual health assessment. Why do all this you may ask? Simply because we want to share the gospel and make disciples of the people in our area. As a result, the church has made several exciting strategic moves. First, the church has From Pastor Brad hired a Family Pastor. Matt, Ashley, and their three children come to us from central Florida and have already been a huge blessing. This is a strategic position to reach our community that is predicted to grow by over 10,000 people over the next five years. Most of the people moving into our area are young families with children and youth. Another strategic change is that Adam will continue serving as a ministerial staff member but will change roles. His new role will be as the Associate Pastor of Outreach and Discipleship. Adam will help mobilize and train more of our members in sharing the gospel. He will also establish a template for assimilating those who are new into a small group so we can better make disciples of Christ. Recent studies (Thom Rainer) have shown that the next new church staff position for the future will be the pastor of community evangelism. This is a position that will lead evangelistic strategies in the church. More and more churches are investing in this staff positon because there is nothing more important than being organized and trained to share the gospel. We are blessed to have Adam and his family here at Tega Cay to lead the church in evangelism. I am excited to be part of a church that is willing to do whatever it takes to fulfill the great commission. In Christ Alone,

Brad PASTOR’S DEVOTIONAL - Changes are coming to the “Prayer Points” devotional email. Beginning shortly, “Prayer

Points” will become more of a blog and it will be delivered to the church’s website at www.tegacaybaptist.org. Look for this new banner

in the same location as the current “Time of Prayer” banner.

Mother You’re a dependable source of confort. Your’re my cushion when I fall. You help in times of trouble. You support me whenever I call. I love you more than you know. You have my total respect. If I had my choice of mothers. You’d be the one I’d select!

The church office will be closed on Monday, May 30th to observe Memorial Day. You are invited to participate in the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 5th at 12:20 pm in front of the Fort Mill City Hall. There will be several Fort Mill pastors taking part in this event including Pastor Brad. If you cannot attend the morning time, you are invited to First Baptist Church in Fort Mill at 7:00 pm. The theme for 2016 is Wake Up America, emphasizing the need for individuals, corporately and individually, to return to the God of Fathers in reverence for His Holy Name.

Parents' Night Out/Service Night for Children Saturday, June 4 from 5-8pm. At this time, we only have enough volunteers to invite preschool children that are 3 yrs old (potty-trained) through 5th grade. We would like to make this a quarterly event, so if you would be willing to serve, even if only once a year, that would be great (we provide dinner for the children and the volunteers!). Contact Melissa Burgess at [email protected] if you are interested in helping out.

Muffins for Moms Catherine Tullos is planning to have our annual Muffins for Moms on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 8. If your child is part of the Children's Ministry of the church, please plan to join us on Mother's Day at 9:10am in Building 3 in the large SNL room for some yummy treats.

Sunday Night Live (SNL):

What an amazing semester we had in SNL! We learned about the Armor of God and how to use it to "Win Against Sin". We also talked about how to be Olympians for God and learned how Jesus taught through parables on how to Love, Forgive and Accept others. The children seemed to enjoy all the lessons, games, activities/crafts, music and skits, as did the adult leaders! Thank you to those who served on Sunday evenings in SNL this semester: Andy Hanschu, Aneda, Hanschu, Betty Simpson, Bonita Jones, Cynthia Keen, Keith Simpson, Melissa Burgess, Tim Bradberry and special guests Catherine Tullos, Dorothy Myers, John Jones, Dan McCall and Marlin Bradberry. We have some exciting plans in the works for SNL this fall, so stay tuned for more details. One last thing...we would like to offer SNL again to preschoolers and provide nursery care in the fall, but we need people to serve in this capacity. If you are interested in serving in the fall, please contact Melissa Burgess at [email protected].

Sunday School Update: It is with great joy that we are able to share with you this month that our Preschool Sunday School has outgrown it's space! Beginning in May we will be offering 2 separate Sunday School classes in Building 2, one for our Toddlers and 2 year olds, and another for our Preschoolers (ages 3 and up), while the Infant Nursery will still be available for our tiniest members. Parents should have received an email with details regarding this change, but if there are questions, please feel free to ask Cynthia Keen ([email protected]). With this news of course, comes a need for even more volunteers to minister to our children. Several people have already stepped up to help teach this new class and many thanks go out to Denise Skramstad, Ashley Williams, and Dorothy Myers for jumping right in. If you think you might be interested in helping in a classroom or with child care during our Family Worship Hour, please let our Children's Ministry Team know. As we continue to grow, we will continue to need more and more people to be involved and serving with our children and it is such a blessing to see more and more families with children coming to worship with us.
