Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I am sending you this newsletter before the Christmas vacation so that you can plan for January. All of us at Messiah Preschool wish you a very Merry Christmas and are looking forward to seeing you in the New Year! Our theme for January is “Outer Space”. We will be preparing for Dad N ’Me Night on the 24th and we have Kindergarten Screenings also scheduled for January.

GIVING PROJECT A special thanks to all the families that participated in our Giving Project this year. We appreciate your generous donations towards the Blessing Bags. During this busy time of year, our families paused for a moment and thought of others in need. Instead of one tag, there were those that took three or four! Each class took their basket full of donations, along with the Subway gift cards, and delivered them to the church. The children were enthusiastically thanked by the church staff for all of their donations.

THANK YOU… Finn Gudzunas grandma for the preschool CD’s. Farrell family for the puzzles & books. Ilharreguy family for the donated book. Suhs for the scrap paper donation. Emma & John Walls for the paper. Wijono family for the large “The old lady who swallowed” puppet.

CONGRATS TO… The Paine family on the birth of Rocco Vaughn born on Nov. 21 and weighed 9 lbs. 14 oz and was 21.5” long. Big brother is Maverick

CHANCY & BRUCE KINDER SCREENINGS Screenings for Kindergarten Readiness will be offered on Tues. & Wed., Jan. 22 & 23 at the preschool. There will be a sign-up sheet in your child’s classroom. The cost is $50.00. This is a great resource for any parent trying to define whether your child is ready for kindergarten. Even if you feel your child will be attending kindergarten this fall, the results of this personalized assessment will target key areas which you can focus on to help your child be more successful. Results will be given at a follow-up meeting on Tuesday, February 5.
