SERVICE OF THE WORD Scripture Reading

the aged couple who had no hope. Even when he received a direct and obvious message from the Lord, Zechariah laughed in the face of hope. But he had forgotten that God is the one who turns the hopeless into the hopeful, and brings fullness to those who are empty. His song in Luke 1, prompted by the birth of his son, John the Baptist, is a testimony to renewed hope in the God who has a plan and is working to bring his perfect plan for all of creation to its ultimate, redemptive conclusion.

Women’s Retreat (Feb 22-24) has early registration with a free gift! Men, this makes a great Christmas gift for the women in your life. Stop by the table in the Fellowship Hall today and check it out. The Safety Team is looking for volunteers to help the church provide a safe and secure environment for all who participate in our programs and use our facilities. Responsibilities include observation during the 9:30 or 11:00 hour and at special events, as needed. Education or experience in safety-related fields is preferred but not required.
