Next Sunday (and every first Sunday of the month) is Food Drive Sunday! Our Love In Action ministry provides food to the church family and the community as needs arise. Any commercially canned or packaged food within their freshness dates, toiletries and paper products should be placed in the bin in the Welcome Center. Part two of the Women’s Jeremiah Precept Study begins January 5 and 6. The study meets at church every other week with two meeting options: Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm or Wednesdays from 9:3011:30am. Plan to join us for our next Equip series titled, “The Attributes of God” from January 10-February 7 at 9:30am in the Sanctuary. As we fall into the routines of daily life, it’s easy to take God’s sovereignty, holiness, grace, mercy and justice for granted. Let’s come together to study these characteristics of God so we can discover who He is and why He is so important to our lives. Make a note now to add March 5-7 to your 2021 Calendar—it’s our next Missions Conference featuring several of our supported missionaries as well as our Sunday speaker, Dr. Michael McKay from Cedarville University. The focus will be on discipling through technology. We have a limited number of Sheboygan eFree t-shirts available for purchase in the church office for $9 each. The short sleeve shirts are gray with a full-color logo on the front. Also available are the new logo mugs for $10 each. Stop in and purchase yours today!

Our next Communion will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021. Communion elements may be picked up in the office TODAY or during the week for anyone who will be worshipping with us from home. Thursday, December 31, is the last day contributions can be made to the church for 2020. Gifts can be dropped off in the church office by 4pm or online gifts can be made prior to 11:59pm.

A brand new Young Adults ministry begins January 5, 2021! The group exists to multiply followers of Jesus Christ among young singles and young marrieds (pre-kids). The group will meet each Tuesday night, 6:30pm in the Fireside Room, with three weeks of Bible study and one night of fellowship each month.

So we wait we wait for You, God, we wait. You're coming soon.

Welcome and Call to Worship

Great Things Come let us worship our King, come let us bow at His feet, He has done great things. See what our Savior has done, See how His love overcomes, He has done great things, He has done great things. O Hero of Heaven You conquered the grave, You free every captive and break every chain, O, God ,You have done great things. We dance in Your freedom awake and alive, O, Jesus, our Savior, Your name lifted high, O, God, You have done great things. You’ve been faithful through every storm, You’ll be faithful forevermore, You have done great things, and I know You will do it again, For Your promise is yes and amen, You will do great things, God, You do great things. Hallelujah, God above it all, Hallelujah, God unshakable, Hallelujah, You have done great things, You’ve done great things. You have done great things, O, God, You do great things. Death Was Arrested Alone in my sorrow and dead in my sin, lost without hope with no place to begin, Your love made a way to let mercy come in, when death was arrested and my life began. Ash was redeemed only beauty remains, my orphan heart was given a name, My mourning grew quiet my feet rose to dance when death was arrested and my life began. Oh Your grace so free washes over me, You have made me new now life begins with You. It's Your endless love pouring down on us, You have made us new now life begins with You. Released from my chains I'm a prisoner no more, my shame was a ransom He faithfully bore He cancelled my debt and He called me His friend, when death was arrested and my life began.

Our Savior displayed on a criminal's cross, darkness rejoiced as though Heaven had lost, But then Jesus arose with our freedom in hand, that's when death was arrested and my life began

Oh we're free, free, forever we're free. Come join the song of all the redeemed. Yes we're free, free, forever amen when death was arrested and my life began. Even So Come All of creation, all of the earth, make straight a highway a path for the Lord. Jesus is coming soon. Call back the sinner, wake up the saint, let every nation shout of Your fame. Jesus is coming soon. Like a bride waiting for her groom we'll be a Church ready for You. Every heart longing for our King, we sing even so come Lord Jesus, come. Even so, come Lord Jesus, come.

There will be justice all will be new, Your name forever Faithful and True. Jesus is coming soon.

Even so come, Lord Jesus, come. Even so come, Lord Jesus, come.

Behold Our God Who has held the oceans in His hands? Who has numbered every grain of sand? Kings and nations tremble at His voice, all creation rises to rejoice. Behold our God, seated on His throne, come let us adore Him. Behold our King, nothing can compare, come let us adore Him. Who has given counsel to the Lord? Who can question any of His words? Who can teach the One who knows all things? Who can fathom all His wondrous deeds?

You will reign forever, You will reign forever (Let Your glory fill the earth). Who has felt the nails upon His hand, bearing all the guilt of sinful man? God eternal humbled to the grave, Jesus Savior risen now to reign. Jonathan Baird | Meghan Baird | Ryan Baird | Stephen Altrogge, © 2011 Sovereign Grace Praise CCLI # 449536

Announcements and Offering Prayer

Pastor Jon MacDonald

King of Kings In the darkness we were waiting, without hope without light, Till from heaven You came running, there was mercy in Your eyes. To fulfil the law and prophets, to a virgin came the Word, From a throne of endless glory to a cradle in the dirt.

Praise the Father, praise the Son, praise the Spirit three in one God of Glory, Majesty, praise forever to the King of Kings. To reveal the kingdom coming and to reconcile the lost, To redeem the whole creation, You did not despise the cross. For even in Your suffering You saw to the other side, Knowing this was our salvation, Jesus for our sake You died. And the morning that You rose, all of heaven held its breath, Till that stone was moved for good, for the Lamb had conquered death. And the dead rose from their tombs, and the angels stood in awe, For the souls of all who'd come to the Father are restored, And the Church of Christ was born, then the Spirit lit the flame, Now this Gospel truth of old shall not kneel shall not faint. By His blood and in His Name, in His freedom I am free, For the love of Jesus Christ Who has resurrected me.

Praise forever to the King of kings. LET YOUR HEART BE COMFORTED ONLY BY JESUS Luke 2:22-40 “What’s on your bucket list?” The answer to this question reveals a lot about the kind of person you are. Maybe you want to see New Zealand or hike the Appalachian Trail. Whatever your answer, the implication is that once you do this thing (or these things), that your life will be complete. There may be many things that you want to do, but in our passage today, we are reminded that there can really only be one thing on our bucket list—only one thing we must do which will make our lives complete.
