+Affirmation of Faith (unison) The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. +Hymn #581

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! Wonderful Wednesday will resume January 9, 2019!! Watch upcoming bulletins for more exciting details!! CONTRIBUTION$—Please note that though the current fund figures are moving in the right direction, we are still $57,351.35 in the red for 2018. We need to make up this deficit before we close the books for 2018. All checks dated 2018, even if received in January, will be credited to 2018. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping PPC end the year on a positive note. From the Finance Committee. THE INTERIM PASTOR SEARCH COMMITTEE has been formed by the Session and we have begun our work to find an Interim Minister to lead Philadelphia until we can call a new fulltime Pastor. The members of the committee are Melissa Tamez, David Houck, Ashley Basden, Jamie Blanchard, and Bill Crowder as Chair. First, we ask that you will be in prayer for us and our work ahead. Second, if anyone knows of a Minister to suggest to us as a potential candidate, please get that person’s name and contact info to any of us. WINTER WEATHER is upon us, and with that comes our opportunity to serve our homeless brothers and sisters through Room in the Inn. We still have six weeks that need a host group. Please prayerfully consider volunteering and getting a group of individuals or families together to host on one of the open Wednesday nights. A sign-up sheet has been posted on the bulletin board outside the church office. IN THE EVENT OF BAD WEATHER, be sure to tune in to WSOCTV for information concerning delays or cancellation of services or events. You may sign up to receive text alerts of service and activity changes or closings due to bad weather by going to wsoctv.com/s/ closings. Look for the “School closings and delays text alerts” link. The church ID# is 0426. OFFERING ENVELOPES are available from the table in the hallway outside the church office. If you did not find your assigned envelopes, contact Judy in the church office.
