The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. +Hymn #581

Our needs continue: lunch and dinner meats, hearty soups, Ramen noodles, small vegetable cups, packets of oatmeal or grits, PopTarts, and snacks such as granola bars, packs of crackers and raisins. Itemized lists are always on the shelves for your use. YOU ARE INVITED to the Enchanted Forest Book Fair at Philadelphia Presbyterian Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten. The congregation and visitors are welcome to shop on Sunday, November 11, before and after church. Books are great gifts for all occasions! ROOM IN THE INN is a wonderful ministry that reaches and provides food and shelter to men, women, and children from across our area. RITI is currently searching for a coordinator who will manage our wonderful program. If you feel called to serve in this area, please email Andrew Starnes [email protected] or Cathy Snelson [email protected]. THE CHRISTIAN EDUCATION MINISTRY is need of your service in the infant and toddler nurseries on Sundays. This is a wonderful opportunity to fulfill your baptismal promise to our PPC kids! Plus, they are precious!! It only takes one hour of your time! Please choose one of the following times to volunteer: 9:45-10:45 during Sunday School or 10:45 during the worship service. The goal is for volunteers to serve every 3 months or 4 times a year. Lately, our volunteers serve every month, so more people are needed! Please consider participating in this important ministry and contact Jill Linscheid [email protected] or the church office 704-545-6172. PPC IS PARTICIPATING in the Angel Tree project again this year. This ministry provides Christmas gifts for local children and adults in need. The Angel Tree will be set up in the entry foyer of the Administration/Education Building. You may select an angel and purchase the requested item(s), or age appropriate items, then return your wrapped item—with the angel SECURELY attached to the gift—to the church no later than December 9th. If you have questions please call Millie Mullis 704-545-5313. NEXT SUNDAY a special offering, our “blanket offering”, will be received. This is a Church World Service program that helps to provide relief in the aftermath of natural disasters. See the insert in today’s bulletin for more information.
