Request for Proposals Request for Proposals for Information Technology Design, Installation and Maintenance Services related to Wireless Local Area Networks for various ADCNR Projects. The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) is seeking proposals from qualified professionals licensed in the State of Alabama to consult with the department on various wireless local area network projects throughout the state. Project Description: • Build a cohesive, consistent, and standardized Wi-Fi solution o Complete analysis of current DAS and Wi-Fi telecommunications networks o Design or enhance networks and their components including monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning o Recommend a multi-phase approach for implementing the proposed design o Provide separate pricing for network design, installation and annual maintenance components Qualifications: Skill and experience in the following areas is essential: • Minimum 8+ years of experience in the wireless communications industry utilizing IEEE 802.11x standards • Broad understanding of telecommunications, cellular and wireless systems • Minimum 8+ years of enterprise network experience to include routing/switching, wireless products, network protocols, encryption and topology, and overall integration of voice, wireless, video and data products. Applicants will be selected on the basis of professional qualification and successful experience with similar service engagements. To clearly demonstrate a considerable body of successful experience with similar projects, applicant firms must include the following in their response. • CCNP™ or equivalent experience in Wi-Fi products • Resume of wide area and local area Wi-Fi projects • Resume of security, filtering and access validation solutions Proposals should also include a pricing document with design and consulting services rates, travel and other related expenses.
