Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary! Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!

* HYMN OF PRAISE, No. 71 “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty” Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, The King of creation! O my soul, praise Him, For He is your health and salvation! Come, all who hear; .now to His temple draw near, Join me in glad adoration! Praise to the Lord, above all things So wondrously reigning; Shelt’ring you under His wings, And so gently sustaining! Have you not seen all that is needful has been Sent by His gracious ordaining? Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore Him! All that has life and breath, Come now with praises before Him. Let the Amen sound from His people again; Gladly forever adore Him. Words: Joachim Neander, Trans. By Catherine Winkworth; Public Domain; Tune: Lobe Den Herren

* PRAYER OF PRAISE

**WELCOME AND GREETINGS * SONG OF PRAISE “Speak, O Lord” Speak, O Lord, as we come to You To receive the food of Your Holy Word. Take Your truth; plant it deep in us. Shape and fashion us in Your likeness, That the light of Christ might be seen today In Your acts of love and our deeds of faith. Speak, O Lord, and fulfill in us All Your purposes, for Your glory. Teach us, Lord, full obedience, Holy reverence, true humility. Test our thoughts and our attitudes In the radiance of Your purity. Cause our faith to rise, cause our eyes to see Your majestic love and authority. Words of pow’r that can never fail, Let their truth prevail over unbelief. Speak, O Lord, and renew our minds. Help us grasp the heights of Your plans for us; Truths unchanged from the dawn of time, That will echo down through eternity. And by grace we’ll stand on Your promises. And by faith we’ll walk as You walk with us. Speak, O Lord, till Your Church is built And the earth is filled with Your glory. CALL TO CONFESSION Nancy Maffett

COMMUNITY PRAYER OF CONFESSION Almighty Father, we enter Your presence confessing the things we try to conceal from You and the things we try to conceal from others. We confess the heartbreak, worry, and sorrow we have caused, that make it difficult for others to forgive us, the times we have made it easy for others to do wrong, the harm we have done that makes it hard for us to forgive ourselves. Lord have mercy and forgive us through Christ. Amen. PRAYER OF PERSONAL CONFESSION

ASSURANCE OF GOD’S FORGIVENESS

RESPONSE “I Will Change Your Name” I will change your name. You will no longer be called Wounded, Outcast, Lonely or Afraid. I will change your name. Your new name shall be Confidence, Joyfulness, Overcoming One. Faithfulness, Friend of God, One who seeks my face. Words: Terry Butler; © 1987 Mercy/Vineyard Publishing; CCLI #153004

How can Your pardon reach and bless The unforgiving heart That broods on wrongs and will not let Old bitterness depart? In blazing light Your cross reveals The truth we dimly knew: What smaller debts are owed to us, How great our debt to You. Lord, cleanse the depths within our souls And bid resentment cease. Then, bound to all in bonds of love, Our lives will spread Your peace. Words: Rosamond E. Herklots; © 1969 Oxford University Press, CCLI #153004; Tune: St. Anne

Our current sermon series, MOVEMENT, is an exploration of 2 Corinthians. The focus of the series is on the church. The church is not a building. The church is not even a conglomeration of people. The church is a movement, a group of people ‘called out’ (ekklesia) to meet and glorify God, and to represent His Kingdom to a broken world. The church doesn’t sit still; it moves and grows. To be a Christian is to be on the move! Throughout this series we will explore what it means to be a part of this Movement of God.
