Money and Contentment – LEADER’S GUIDE 1. Thank everyone for coming. 2. Open in prayer 3. Read the focus passage. 4. Ask men to answer Question #1. Encourage men to be honest with their answers. 5. Listen to the program: “Money and Contentment” 6. After the program is finished, allow time for comments or questions on the program 7. Review the answers to the four remaining questions with the men in the group. Encourage everyone to participate, but never force or shame someone into participating. a. Question #2 answer: Examples of answers: Other’s homes, other’s jobs, other’s marriages or wives, other’s kids, others with more money. b. Question #3 answer: An unthankful heart and prideful motives c. Question #4 answer: Ruin and destruction of ourselves and our families. d.

Question #5 answer: Review scriptures on money handling in our quiet times with God. Examples include: Matthew 6:24, Matthew 6:20-21, Psalm 62:10, Matthew 6:33, Philippians 4:10-13.

8. Ask the men what was most important to them from this teaching. 9. Ask men to commit to honoring God and their families in the way they spend their money. 10. Confirm the time for the next meeting 11. Take prayer requests. 12. Close in prayer Sample prayer: Almighty God, please forgive us for trying to love you and money. Help us to live contentedly with your provision. In Jesus name, Amen.
