Teaching & Learning Quality Assurance Leader, Sydney metropolitan area Fixed Term Contract – 6 months Navitas English provides the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program for the Department of Industry and the Humanitarian Settlement Services (HSS) for the Department of Social Services. Applications are invited for the position of Teaching & Learning Quality Assurance Leader. The Teaching & Learning Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of systems, process and practices that ensure EFS teaching, assessment and administrative practices meet the requirements of contracts and externally determined quality standards. The specific focus is on helping to ensure that EFS colleges continue to meet their regulatory quality assurance, compliance and contractual obligations as a government funded vocational education and training provider. The position reports to the Manager, Teaching and Learning and is guided and supported by the Director, Education Programs and the AMEP and SEE Contract Managers. Some key responsilibities will include:
Liaising with EFS Senior Management, Area and Academic Managers with regard to provider regulatory requirements, quality assurance and compliance matters;
supporting EFS SMT with the development of a rigorous quality assurance framework;
undertaking benchmarking activities to identify examples of best practice, identifying improvement opportunities related to maintaining standardised processes, documents and practices and coordinating improvement initiatives;
Essential Criteria
A postgraduate qualification in the education sector
Demonstrated knowledge of program and curricula requirements of AMEP and SEE
Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in a multi-cultural learning environment
Demonstrated ability to consult and negotiate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
A sound knowledge of the VET regulatory framework
Sound research and analysis skills and capacity for systematic thinking
Excellent organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise, plan and coordinate own workload
Advanced skills in document formatting, indexing, layout and presentation and using office word processing, and presentation applications
Desirable Criteria •
Knowledge of AMEP and SEE contract requirements

An understanding of quality assurance systems and practices

An understanding of project management methodologies and practices

Experience in coordinating administrative, information and evidence gathering projects and activities
