This Professional Development Catalog provides descriptions of sessions scheduled for the summer before the 2018‐19 school year and includes the what, who, when, and how related to that training. A contact is also provided if you have questions about a particular session. Principals: Please provide the appropriate members of your team with the summer PD catalog and calendar. Ensure everybody is clear about dates and locations. New staff will be automatically registered for the appropriate sessions via Cornerstone starting in April. New Teachers: Please ask your principal for guidance on which summer PD sessions you should attend. Returning Teachers: Although most of the summer PD is geared toward new teachers and leaders, if there is a session you are interested in, please speak to your manager if it makes sense for you to attend. Campus Leaders: Identify which sessions are applicable to your role, whether you are returning or new. You will receive more information when registration in Cornerstone opens in April. Campus Operations Staff: Please ask your APO for guidance on which summer PD sessions you should attend. Talent Partners: As a trusted business partner to schools, please reinforce with your principal partner the communication of expectations for attendance. Required Trainings
: These sessions are required for the identified employee groups. Optional Trainings : These sessions are available for staff to attend in consultation with their manager. Locations and Registration: All training locations will be finalized and available in Cornerstone by April. Compensation: Teachers will receive $60 per day of required training if the training day falls outside their contract days. Co‐teachers will be paid their hourly rate and will receive any payments biweekly, aligned with their current pay schedule. If teachers are repeating a training, compensation will come from their campus discretionary budget. What to Bring: For almost every training, participants will need to bring a fully charged laptop or other note‐taking device. Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks: Coffee and a light breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be served at each training. We are looking forward to seeing you all throughout the summer! Jamey Roberts & Anita Ahmadi
