Tithes and Offerings Traders Point offers three ways to make a contribution on Sundays and throughout the week. The first way is to give when the offering basket is passed during worship services. The second is by placing your contribution in any of the offering boxes as you enter or exit The Worship Center. Thirdly, you can go to tpcc.org and click the “Online Giving” link at the bottom of our homepage. Follow the instructions to make a secure contribution online. You can make a one-time gift, or schedule an ongoing weekly or monthly contribution; the method you choose is up to you. Thank you for your continued generosity. Please note that if you are a guest, you are not expected to make an offering.

BAPTISM

2012 North American Christian Convention

Baptism 101

Sunday, July 10 through Wednesday, July 13, at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort This year the North American Christian Convention will be held in Orlando, Florida. For more information, check out their website at gotonacc.org.

Father’s Day at Traders Point Sunday, June 17; 9 and 11 a.m. service featuring special guest speaker Michael Franzese, followed by a special family event from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. You are invited to join us for an impactful outreach event this Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17, at 9 and 11 a.m. with special guest speaker Michael Franzese. Michael is a former mobster who has a powerful testimony of radical spirit-led transformation. Then, plan to stay after church that day to enjoy food, family fun, games, and entertainment—right here on our TPCC campus from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. This event is going to be a great opportunity for you to invite and engage people who may not normally be interested in coming to church. We believe that as our entire church prays and joins with us in inviting disengaged people, that God will do some amazing things on this day. Learn more at tpcc.org.

Baptism is a tangible expression of faith and commitment to Jesus. It is also something that Jesus, Himself, modeled and commanded. Today, there can be a lack of knowledge and even confusion about what the Bible teaches. If you’re interested in baptism, have questions, or need a better understanding, then we invite you to attend Baptism 101. We’ll cover what the Bible teaches, what TPCC believes, and the history of baptism. Register online at tpcc.org/registration, or contact Stephanie Brooks, at [email protected] or Matt Hessel, Connections Pastor, at [email protected] or 769.5557.

Baptism Sundays, July 1, August 5, September 2 Upcoming Baptism Sundays: • Sunday, July 1 (register by Wednesday, June 13) • Sunday, August 5 (register by Wednesday, July 18) • Sunday, September 2 (register by Wednesday, August 15) If you are considering baptism, contact Stephanie Brooks at [email protected] or 769.5557.

TAKE NOTE The Park TPCC offers a two-story indoor playground which is open to the public when the church building is open. However, when church is in session on Sundays, The Park is used by our Children’s Ministry. To play in The Park, children must be accompanied by someone 18 years or older.

Photography Each week, photographers capture moments from TPCC events and programs. If you would like to request that your or your child’s photo not be used in print materials or on the web, please email us at [email protected].

Insights from the Hebrew Bible Wednesdays, June 13, July 18, and August 22, 6:30 to 8 p.m., in Room 205 Jesus taught it. Paul explained it. John offered it as the official guide to his Revelation. For nearly 2,000 years, Christians have used the Hebrew Bible to understand the character of God, the creation of the world, the nature of human beings, and the purpose and work of the coming Christ. Dr. Jim Craig, from Northern Light Christian Counseling, will offer a brief introduction to the Hebrew Bible, focus on familiar Old Testament passages, and provide simple tools for distilling similar insights from English translations. Each class will cover different passages and is selfcontained, so those who can only attend one or two sessions will benefit. Register online at tpcc.org/registration.

Truth@Work Every fourth Wednesday, 8 to 11 a.m., in Room 213 Truth@Work is a ministry that helps men and women in the business community to authentically follow Jesus in the workplace, apply biblical truth to everyday life, and use their influence to advance God’s Kingdom. Contact Chris Arnold at [email protected] or 769.4746 to learn more.

Life Groups Ongoing It’s easy to get lost in a large church environment. Life groups are a smaller, more intimate setting for growing close to God and each other. Life groups are the primary context for continued growth and life change at TPCC. To find out how to connect in a life group and develop new friendships, contact Don Keehner, Discipleship Pastor, at [email protected] or 769.5557.

These deep struggles, these stuck places, are familiar to every one of us: brokenness, anger, discontentment, fear, and sadness. Stuck takes on these struggles within us so that we can encounter God. Military Ministry If you are a veteran, currently serving our country, or have a heart for our nation’s military and want to give back and make an impact, we are looking for you! We are launching a military support ministry right here at Traders Point. If you would like to recognize, serve, lift up, and encourage active military and veterans. For additional information, contact Jim Vitou at [email protected] or 317.508.3469.

Survival Kits September 23 and 30 Stop by the kiosk on Sundays, September 23 and 30 and reach out to the homeless by purchasing a TPCC survival kit. For only $5, you can purchase a kit filled with toiletries, snacks, a Bible, and a list of local shelters and supporting agencies. The kits are easily stored in your car, so you have one ready whenever you need it. Survival kits can also be ordered at any time online at tpcc.org/registration and picked up the following Sunday in the Ministry Resource Center.

What’s for Lunch? Sunday, June 3 (stop by the kiosk), Sundays, June 10 and 17 (drop off donations), and Friday, June 22 or Saturday, June 23 (volunteer at What’s for Lunch packing events) TPCC is teaming up with the Shalom House and The Caring Center in Lebanon this summer to provide a week’s worth of lunches to preschool and school-age kids ... over 2,500 sack lunches! Why? Because 60% of Lebanon’s school-aged kids receive free/reduced-price lunches during the school year and may be under-fed during the summer. Your family can also volunteer at the What’s for Lunch Packing Event on Friday and Saturday, June 22 and 23. Register online at tpcc.org/registration to volunteer. Contact Susan Rozzi at [email protected] with questions.

Serving at Response Campus 20-30 volunteers are needed Thursdays, June 14 through July 26, (with the exception of July 5), from 5:45 to 8:15 p.m. for Thursday Night on the Block. Volunteers will work with children and women.
