SONG LYRICS River of Life

This is Amazing Grace

I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me Makes the lame to walk and the blind to see Opens prison doors, sets the captives free I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me

Who breaks the power of sin and darkness Whose love is mighty and so much stronger The King of Glory, the King above all kings

Spring up, O well, within my soul Spring up, O well, and make me whole Spring up, O well, and give to me That life abundantly

Great Are You Lord You give life, You are love You bring light to the darkness You give hope, You restore ev’ry heart that is broken And great are you Lord It’s Your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise, we pour out our praise It’s Your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise to You only

Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder And leaves us breathless in awe and wonder The King of Glory, the King above all kings This is amazing grace This is unfailing love That You would take my place That You would bear my cross You lay down Your life That I would be set free Oh, Jesus, I sing for All that You've done for me Who brings our chaos back into order Who makes the orphan a son and daughter The King of Glory, the King above all kings Who rules the nations with truth and justice Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance The King of Glory, the King above all kings

And all the earth will shout Your praise Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing Great are You Lord

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain Worthy is the King who conquered the grave

All I Have is Christ

He Shall Reign

I once was lost in darkest night Yet thought I knew the way The sin that promised joy and life Had led me to the grave I had no hope that You would own A rebel to Your will And if You had not loved me first I would refuse You still

Come broken, come captive Come all you who mourn Oh groaning creation, rejoice! Messiah, our Savior Our healing He brings What freedom, what consolation!

But as I ran my hell-bound race Indifferent to the cost You looked upon my helpless state And led me to the cross And I beheld God’s love displayed You suffered in my place You bore the wrath reserved for me Now all I know is grace Hallelujah! All I have is Christ Hallelujah! Jesus is my life Now, Lord, I would be Yours alone And live so all might see The strength to follow Your commands Could never come from me O Father, use my ransomed life In any way You choose And let my song forever be My only boast is You

He shall reign He shall reign He shall reign He shall reign He’ll order His kingdom With justice and peace Oh merciful One, oh Lamb of God All nations, all peoples All heaven and earth Will bow down and to Him proclaim

Welcome: God’s Call to Hospitality

Loving Two Kinds of People Luke 15:11-32 And he said, "There was a man who had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.' And he divided his property between them. 13 Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living. 11

And when he had spent everything, a severe famine arose in that country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs. 16 And he was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything. 14

"But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants."' 17

And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. 20

And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.' 22 But the father said to his servants, 'Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. 23 And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.' And they began to celebrate. 21

"Now his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, 'Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.' 25

But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him, 29 but he answered his father, 'Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!' 28

And he said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.'" 31

It was fitting to celebrate and
