July 2015 Crossrail Farringdon Eastern Ticket Hall Bridge Link to Barbican Station Charterhouse and Carthusian Street westbound closure – August 2015 to August 2017 Thank you for your patience whilst we carry out the next phase of works to install the link bridge between the Barbican London Underground and Crossrail Farringdon stations.

Duration of work

Phase 3 – Basement foundation works in 33-37 Charterhouse Street



A work site compound will be erected outside 33-37 Charterhouse Street. This is to facilitate the necessary piling and construction works within the building to prepare for the bridge link between the stations. We apologise for any inconvenience but it will be necessary to close Charterhouse Square, Charterhouse Street and Carthusian Street to westbound traffic from Lindsey Street to Aldersgate Street. Eastbound traffic will not be affected. (Please see diagram overleaf) Three parking bays will be suspended to provide the one way carriageway in the eastbound direction. The zebra crossing by the school will remain operational.
