AARONKEYES For the last 15 years, the Keyes family has been rooted in Grace Fellowship Church, where Aaron still serves as a worship pastor. In 2008, the Keyes launched their worship school, where four students came to live in their basement and on their tour bus for six months of "real, gritty shared-life, and on-the-job discipleship." Since then, many worship leaders from around the world have come through their home, gone through their training, and become part of their broader family, 10,000 Fathers.

GLENNPACKIAM Glenn is an associate senior pastor of New Life Church in Colorado Springs, and author of "Discover the Mystery of Faith", "Lucky: How the Kingdom Come to Unlikely People", "Secondhand Jesus", and "Butterfly in Brazil". Glenn is currently a postgraduate researcher at Durham University in the UK where he is in the process of earning a doctorate of theology.

BOBGOFF Bob calls himself a "recovering lawyer." After practicing law for 25 years, then becoming the Honorary Consul to Uganda, he gave up his law firm to pursue writing and speaking full time. He has inspired millions to dream big and make life more awesome. Bob is the author of the New York Times best-selling book “Love Does.”

In 2012, he came back to Fellowship to serve as a Teaching Pastor alongside Mark and Brandon. Ben loves spending time with his friends and family playing golf, spades, grilling out, cheering on the Hogs and the Cowboys, and spending time outdoors.

BRANDONBARNARD Brandon, a native of Arkansas, came to Fellowship 11 years ago as the Lead Student Pastor and transitioned to Teaching Pastor in 2009. He has been married for 16 years to the love of his life, Julie. They have five children: Caleb, Karis, Emily, Brooke, and Micah. Brandon loves hanging with his family. DWELLING WITH GOD TEACHING

THE AROMA OF GOD WILL NOT LINGER ON A PERSON WHO DOES NOT LINGER IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD. ~ JO H N PIPE R

BUT GOD, BEING RICH IN MERCY, BECAUSE OF THE GREAT LOVE WITH WHICH HE LOVED US, EVEN WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN OUR TRESPASSES, MADE US ALIVE TOGETHER WITH CHRIST, BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED. EPHES I A NS 2 : 4 - 5

C O N V E R S AT I O N In which of these ways do you tend to relate to God?

Why do you think you relate to Him in this way?

DWELLING WITH GOD PRACTICE COMMUNION: Communion is both a spiritual practice, and a way of being and relating to God. As we participate in communion as the community of the Spirit, Christ’s new family, we invite you to . . . Take a couple of minutes and reflect on your life without Christ, the hopeless state we are born into.

As an act of confession, identify areas of current sin and struggle in your life in the boxes below.

AND YOU WERE DEAD IN THE TRESPASSES AND SINS IN WHICH YOU ONCE WALKED, FOLLOWING THE COURSE OF THIS WORLD, FOLLOWING THE PRINCE OF THE POWER OF THE AIR, THE SPIRIT THAT IS NOW AT WORK IN THE SONS OF DISOBEDIENCE—AMONG WHOM WE ALL ONCE LIVED IN THE PASSIONS OF OUR FLESH, CARRYING OUT THE DESIRES OF THE BODY AND THE MIND, AND WERE BY NATURE CHILDREN OF WRATH, LIKE THE REST OF MANKIND. E PH E SIA N S 2 :1-3

MY MAIN JOB IS TO LIVE WITH DEEP CONTENTMENT, JOY, AND CONFIDENCE IN MY EVERYDAY EXPERIENCE OF LIFE WITH GOD. EVERYTHING ELSE IS JOB NUMBER TWO. ~ J OH N O R T B E R G

Ask Jesus to allow you to see with fresh eyes the gift of new life with Him—that is yours through his life, death, and resurrection.

Now, allow that reality, the reality that you are now in Christ sink into your heart. When you’re ready, allow worship to overflow from your heart to God and spend time in His presence as you receive the elements.

DWELLING WITH GOD THROUGH PRAYER TEACHING

[I PRAY THAT YOU] MAY HAVE THE STRENGTH TO COMPREHEND WITH ALL THE SAINTS WHAT IS THE BREADTH AND LENGTH AND HEIGHT AND DEPTH, AND TO KNOW THE LOVE OF CHRIST THAT SURPASSES KNOWLEDGE, THAT YOU MAY BE FILLED WITH ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD. EPHESIANS 3:17-19

PRAYER IS BOTH CONVERSATION AND ENCOUNTER WITH GOD . . . WE MUST KNOW THE AWE OF PRAISING HIS GLORY, THE INTIMACY OF FINDING HIS GRACE, AND THE STRUGGLE OF ASKING HIS HELP, ALL OF WHICH CAN LEAD US TO KNOW THE SPIRITUAL REALITY OF HIS PRESENCE. ~ TIM KELLER FROM PRAYER

D W E L L I N G W I T H G O D T H R O U G H P R AY E R PRACTICE P R AY E R : Prayer is at the heart of life with God. It can be woven into the fabric of our daily routine and our weekly schedule. It is here where we get to enjoy the Father’s company. Prayer is our opportunity to interact with the Creator, God, and participate in His work of bringing redemption to earth. This practice of prayer will explore areas of prayer like listening prayer, confession, and receiving God’s grace. Take a few minutes now and ask the Father to speak to you personally. Ask Him the following questions and write down what comes to your mind and heart. (Remember, the Holy Spirit will often bring scripture passages, or thoughts and images to our minds.) Simply write down what you feel the Lord speaking to you. What is God revealing to you about your identity in Christ and the way that you relate to Him?

WHAT ARE SOME LIES THAT YOU HAVE BELIEVED ABOUT YOUR IDENTITY?

Ask the Father what He thinks about the lies you wrote down. What do you think He would say to you?

C O N V E R S AT I O N (in groups of two or three) Listen to the lies those around you have believed and pray for them, that they will be able to grasp their identity as children of God.

DWELLING WITH GOD THROUGH SCRIPTURE TEACHING

BIBLICAL LITERACY THAT FAILS TO STIMULATE AWE IS MISSING SOMETHING. WHEN PERSONAL DISCIPLESHIP DOESN’T PRODUCE VERTICAL AWE, SOMETHING IS AMISS. THIS IS THE GRAND AGENDA OF EVERY FORM OF MINISTRY, AND ONCE I GOT IT, IT SET MY MINISTRY IN A WHOLE NEW TRAJECTORY— ONE ON WHICH IT REMAINS TODAY. ~ PAUL TRI P P

FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS LIVING AND ACTIVE, SHARPER THAN ANY TWO-EDGED SWORD, PIERCING TO THE DIVISION OF SOUL AND OF SPIRIT, OF JOINTS AND OF MARROW, AND DISCERNING THE THOUGHTS AND INTENTIONS OF THE HEART. H E BRE W S 4:12

DWELLING WITH GOD THROUGH SCRIPTURE PRACTICE SILENCE : Begin this time of solitude with silence. Take a few moments to quiet your mind and body, limiting distractions. Repeat the simple prayer below to remind yourself to be present with God today, just as He is always present with us as believers. [If you are not sure about your faith in Christ and would like to pray with someone, remember that men and women are available in the Dwell Room during this hour.]

“GOD, YOU ARE HERE. I AM HERE WITH YOU.” READING: Open your Bible with a fresh sense of privilege…acknowledge that you are holding the written Word of God. Read Ephesians 2 and answer these simple questions. What does this passage say about God?

What does this passage say about you?

What does this passage say about the world?

SOLITUDE WITH GOD REPAIRS THE DAMAGE DONE BY TH E FR E T AND NOISE AND CL AMOR O F T HE WO R LD. ~ O S WA L D C H A M B E R S

M E D I TAT I O N : Sit with this passage and reflect on it. Ask God what He wants to reveal to you, specifically, through this passage. Write down what He brings to mind. [If your mind ends up wandering to other things, it’s okay! Jot them down on one of the empty pages in the back of your book and return to this time of meditation.]

P R AY E R : Thank God for revealing Himself to us this morning through His Word.

DWELLING WITH GOD THROUGH WORSHIP TEACHING

THE PRACTICES OF CHRISTIAN WORSHIP TRAIN OUR LOVE—THEY ARE PRACTICE FOR THE COMING KINGDOM, HABITUATING US AS CITIZENS OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD. ~ JAMES K. A. SMITH

IN HIM YOU ALSO ARE BEING BUILT TOGETHER INTO A DWELLING PLACE FOR GOD BY THE SPIRIT. E P H E S I A N S 2 : 2 2

C O N V E R S AT I O N It has been said that “theology should lead to doxology.” In other words, what we learn about God should always lead us to the worship of Him. Have these two concepts – discipleship and worship – been wrongly separated in our minds? How?

DWELLING WITH GOD THROUGH MISSION TEACHING

NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN GOD; BUT IF WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER, GOD LIVES IN US AND HIS LOVE IS MADE COMPLETE IN US. 1 J O H N 4 : 1 2

THERE IS A RHYTHM OF LIFE THAT PULSES THROUGH THE BIBLICAL VIEW OF WHAT IT MEANS TO BE HUMAN… AN INHALE AND AN EXHALE. THE BREATHING IN IS INTIMATELY CONNECTED TO OUR EXPERIENCE OF GOD’S PERSONAL PRESENCE. IT IS LIFE LIVED WITH GOD. THE BREATHING OUT INVOLVES OUR PARTICIPATION IN GOD’S JUST REIGN. IT IS LIFE LIVED FOR THE SAKE OF THE WORLD. THE BREATHING IN WE OFTEN CALL “SPIRITUALITY.” THE BREATHING OUT WE CALL “MISSION.” ~ B A R R Y J O N E S F R O M DW E L L W I T H G O D , F O R T H E W O R L D

DWELLING WITH GOD THROUGH MISSION PRACTICE

WHAT ARE SOME THINGS THAT KEEP YOU FROM BEING PRESENT WITH THE PEOPLE GOD HAS PLACED IN YOUR LIFE — FAMILY, NEIGHBORS, FRIENDS?

NAME SOME PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE, OR EVEN ONE PERSON, THAT THE LORD COULD BE CALLING YOU TO MORE RADICALLY LOVE.

C O N V E R S AT I O N Our personal communion with God is directly related to our engagement in His mission. Based on this understanding, how might you rethink the way that you live your life missionally?

DWELLING WITH GOD TEACHING

I LEARNED THAT FAITH ISN’T ABOUT KNOWING ALL OF THE RIGHT STUFF OR OBEYING A LIST OF RULES. IT’S SOMETHING MORE, SOMETHING MORE COSTLY BECAUSE IT REQUIRES BEING PRESENT AND MAKING A SACRIFICE. PERHAPS THAT’S WHY JESUS IS SOMETIMES CALLED IMMANUEL —“GOD WITH US.” I THINK THAT’S WHAT GOD HAD IN MIND, FOR JESUS TO BE PRESENT, TO JUST BE WITH US. ~ B O B G O F F
