It is our passion to see local teens build a relationship with Jesus and be planted in a local church. This is our 16th year serving Shelton in various schools. Currently we are happy to have after-school programs at Pioneer, Olympic and Hood Canal Middle schools, an off-site program for Oakland Bay Junior High and are lining up volunteers to start at Shelton High School. We partner with In-Faith ministries to serve those struggling with tough choices at our local detention center each Sunday. We’re also working in partnership with Care-Net to reach our Parenting Youth. We would love to be helping those youths who are falling through the cracks alongside Love In The Name of Christ, ie Love Inc. That’s what we do. And so we have been listening to God. How do we do this more effectively? What does God want us to do? Our Board believes with all their heart that we need to explore a Drop-In Center. That the lack of a central Youth Centered Service Center hinders our relational ministry building efforts. This has been the cry of many Christians in Shelton for years and while we may feel this is God’s call for us, without the People’s support we are limited. We invite you to join us at our Banquet on March 19 th and Hear the Spirit Call. Hear where God is leading us and ask God to show you what He wants for the Youth of our area! We look forward to hearing what God is saying! Hebrews 3:7 Maudi Newman. YFC Director 360.490.6458
