Withdrawing from my course can affect my principal/next course start date and I have discussed this with an ECC representative. A difference in course cost may apply, and I will pay the difference if there are insufficient funds in the account.

I must stay and continue to attend classes in my current course, and wait for an email giving me instructions on the outcome of this application (this does not apply to students returning to their home country). WITHDRAWAL REQUEST FACTSHEET 1. Who can apply for withdrawal with this form? 

You must have no outstanding fees



You must have discussed your withdrawal with an Academic Advisor or ECC representative



INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY: You wish to return to your home country indefinitely



INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY: Your visa subclass has changed and you have provided a copy of your visa grant notice



If you are under 18, you need to book an appointment to see the Student Counsellor

    

2. What do you need to prepare? 

Evidence and supporting documents (depending on the reason for withdrawal) for example: - Medical Certificate - Marriage Certificate - Letter from parents - Visa grant notice - Air ticket



3. What do you need to do? 

Read and understand ECC’s Refund Policy (if you withdraw from a ECC course to enter ECU directly; if you are returning overseas to live; if you are withdrawing from your course)



Pay all outstanding fees



If you are currently on a payment plan, your plan will be cancelled and you must pay all outstanding fees before this application will be considered

4. Conditions 

Parts A, B, and C of this form need to be completed and signed (where appropriate) by yourself





You must continue to attend classes until you receive an email about the outcome of your withdrawal request (unless you are returning to your home country, in which case you need to remain in class till shortly before your departure from Australia and keep meeting your visa conditions and obligations).





You must ensure you understand how withdrawing at this time will be show up on your transcript



INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY: You must keep the Department of Home Affairs informed on any changes to your studies (e.g. withdrawal)

 

5. How long will it take?   

Assuming you have completed all sections and provided evidence, your withdrawal request will be processed within 10 working days If your request is successful, you will be advised of the refund process If your request is unsuccessful, you will be advised on the complaints and appeals process
