Summary: Program Director of ECDI’s Women’s Business Center of Columbus, Ohio which includes one-on-one counseling, access to capital, networking, peer learning opportunities, and training. Target market to include women entrepreneurs in the start-up or growth stage, with special emphasis on socially and economically disadvantaged women and underrepresented individuals who seek to become financially independent through small business ownership. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Responsible for directing operations of Columbus, Ohio Women’s Business Program to ensure policies and procedures are being followed, goals and objectives are met, and services and projects are accomplished efficiently and effectively; takes corrective action as necessary. Responsible for ensuring coverage of WBC hours of operation. Provides direct client services to include training and one-on-one counseling. Evaluates loan applicants, conducts business plan development, and supports access to capital process from loan application through disbursement of funds. Supervises and evaluates staff activities, as needed. Manages customer intake and assumes responsibility for customer, and meet associated outcomes, from intake through client retention. Implements client and program assessment and evaluation process, and develops new processes, as needed. Implements client referral process, creating new, and maintaining existing relationships. This includes, community resources such as the SBDC, SBA, SCORE, local chambers, community organizations, banks and individual mentors. Develops and conducts training curriculums, as needed. Schedules and oversees workshop activities, as needed. Maintains accurate and complete client files as directed by program policies and procedures. Assists with submission of program reports; collects data for compliance of grant; tracks and completes outcome reports for internal and external use. Troubleshoots technical submission challenges. Prioritizes and allocates available program resources. Makes researched recommendation for and executes changes in operations to ensure effective service. Ensures client and program records are secured and confidential, per institutional and program guidelines. Prepares high quality written correspondence, reports, procedures, directives and other materials, as needed/requested. Excels and conflict resolution, a true team player, committed to collaboration across departments and geographies, Additional Responsibilities: • Weekly activity report • Weekly meetings with supervisor • Other duties as defined

Minimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities – Demonstrated ability to direct, lead, motivate, and supervise staff. Demonstrated ability to plan and implement projects and services incorporating effective decision-making skill. Comprehensive knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, and techniques; knowledge of adult learning techniques. • Education and/or Experience - Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field AND 5-10 years in a significant administrative leadership position. Success in working in a multi-ethnic environment that supports diversity. Extremely strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal, communication skills. • Computer Skills - Experience with and knowledge of computer operation; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), and Down Home Loan database application. • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - Valid Ohio driver's license and appropriate automobile insurance required. Other Requirements: • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. • Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc. • Requires a valid Driver’s license and automobile insurance.
