2018 Houston Youth Gathering Update We are coming down to the final stretch of our journey. Only a little over a month until we head out for Houston on June 26-July 3. We are all very excited about the upcoming adventure. The group has been working hard fundraising since last summer. The estimated cost for the trip is $1,400 per person totaling $63,000 for our group of 45 (36 youth and 9 adults). Our fundraising efforts for the past year have done very well. We are only short around $7,000. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has bought cinnamon rolls, cookies, Kwik Trip cards, made donations and more. Thank you also to the Bethany Trust Fund for their generosity. We can’t thank our Bethany family enough for all of your generosity and support! Our group has been meeting during High School Bible Study on Wednesdays in May. We have been looking at the Bible studies and themes we will be introduced to at the Gathering. They are also a wonderful time of fellowship and team building. The Youth Gathering is a wonderful opportunity for our youth to come together with other ELCA youth from all over the country to build on their faith journey. Please keep this group in your prayers as we continue to prepare for this journey. Thank you again for all of your generosity and support! 1
