THE MAN IN THE HAT (2009) 2.00-3.45pm A documentary portrait of Wellington art dealer Peter McLeavey. The film explores McLeavey’s early life, the discovery of his New Zealand identity while he lived in London, and the more than 500 exhibitions that he went on to curate from his history-making Cuba Street gallery. The film will be followed by a question and answer session between film director Luit Bieringa and Jill Trevelyan, the acclaimed author of the biography “Peter McLeavey: The Life and Times of a New Zealand Art Dealer”.
